The number of times the enemy attacks you with normal attacks increases your evasion proficiency (mask data), and increases when this reaches 100.

Defense rate is determined by physical strength, magic power, and armor.

Strategy tips







Recommended equipment/magic (approximately in order of availability)

Kodai Sword [Sword] It's at the bottom in terms of performance, but it has a curse (attack and defense halved). There are so many hard bosses that it's almost essential, so keep it handy. Available in the southwestern part of Snowfield Cave B5F.
Toad [Black magic] Turns the enemy into a frog (treats as instant death). There are 5 types of instant death magic with changing attributes, and among them, this one has the highest success rate. A devastating spell that is effective against most enemies, including bosses, and has a high probability of success if you are level 6 or above.
Nemuri no Ken [Sword] A sleeping version of the ancient sword. You can fall asleep by hitting it every turn. It's usually faster to defeat, so it's not as essential a class as Kodai, but if you use it just for boss fights, it's very stable. Available at Battleship B1F
Touzoku trowel [Arms] The first practical "speed correction > weight" armor in this work that is naked and stable. Be careful as there is magic interference. Can be picked up on Battleship B1F and also available for purchase in Mysidia

Ribbon [Head] Perfect equipment with resistance to all status abnormalities, zero weight/magic interference, and magic defense of 21 (highest value in the work). Haste [White Magic] Increases number of attacks. The actual effect is better than Berserk, but it is stronger when used together. Dropped by the Sorcerer who appears in the underground arena.
Aspir [Black magic] MP absorption. In addition to not having to worry about MP normally, it becomes easier to cultivate MP with party attacks. Wizard drops it.
Ripper knife [Dagger] The additional fixed damage is not working due to a bug, but it is simply more powerful. Dropped by Gotos, the mid-stage boss. At this point you can do good damage.
Minimum [White Magic] Instant death magic with changing attributes. The success rate is lower than black magic Toad, but it is white magic. If you have Lv6 or above, you will have a good hit rate. Can be purchased in Fin Town (after liberation)
Blood Sword [Sword] HP absorption sword. It has a special calculation formula: [Damage dealt = enemy's maximum HP * Number of hits / 16], and if you hit 16 hits in total, you can practically die instantly or die, and it is equally effective against bosses. However, the accuracy is low and you will be absorbed by undead, so be careful. Available at Fin Castle B4F.
Kuroshozoku [Body] Excellent when lightly armored with agility of +10, but also suitable for white wizards as magic interference is low at 1. Similar ability value corrections do not overlap, so if you set it with Thief's Gauntlet, it will not give you +20 agility.
Twisted headband [Head] Strength +10 effect with light armor. For wizards. The following two types of power equipment can be obtained within Leviathan. Ability corrections do not overlap, so three people should each wear them
I like chikarada [Body] Light armor/Strength +10 Series 2. Weight 5, which is quite heavy.Be careful not to fall below 99% evasion.

White Robe [Body] Light weight, resistance to all status abnormalities, mental +10, magic defense 21, a dreamlike equipment for a white mage

Defender [Sword] It has both the power and the evasion rate of a shield. Since it is easy to perform one-sword style, it becomes highly powerful as a result. Available in Tornado.
Rune Ax [Axe] Strongest except for the two strongest swords. Generals drop it frequently, so it's relatively quick to get. Since it has a special effect on the magic races that are common in the final stage, when attacking these, it is actually quite powerful with an attack power of 115. The ax itself is unfortunate, but Leonhardt, who has high proficiency from the beginning, can hold it.
Excalibur [Sword] It is powerful with just 100 attack power, but it has special effects on all attributes and multiple races, so if you are stabbed, the attack power becomes 120. Ability to leave other weapon types behind.
Cat's claw [Dagger] Has special magical effects. Most of the monsters in the last dungeon are magic attributes, so it really hits home. Suitable for magic users as it has low magic interference and high accuracy.
Mamori no Yubiwa [Arms] Lightly equipped and boasts a magic defense of 21 (highest value in the work). Unfortunately, there is no ability value correction, but I would like to equip it to a character with a low magic defense probability to prevent accidents.
Masamune [Sword] As it is hidden, it has cheat-level performance. When used as a tool, it has a haste 11 effect, but there is a low chance that it will break, so be careful.

Strategy flowchart

This is a simple flowchart to complete the process. (Yellow hatched parts are flows that are not related to clearing)
1 Start from the town of Altea. Talk to Hilda and learn [Rose].
For equipment, sell leather armor and buy weapons, shields, and care. Next, I recommend purchasing Blizzard.
2 Go north from Altea and arrive at the "Town of Gatea".
3 From "Gatea", arrive at "Fin's Castle Town" north (detouring northwest around the lake). Act in the following order.
  1. Enter the pub along the outer wall from the north of town.
  2. Speak to the master in the northwest, ask him at [Rose], and enter the hidden room in the back.
  3. Ask the warrior (Scott) in the back using [Rose]. Obtained "Ring".
After obtaining the ring, press Select + B in the field to display the map.
4 Return to "Althea" and act in the following order.
  1. Use the Ring on Hilda to learn Mithril.
  2. Talk to "Minwoo" next to you and have him join your party. Obtained "Canoe".
  3. Speak to Hilda to learn the [Daisenkan], and ask Hilda to learn the [Dialogue].

5 From "Altea", arrive at "Town of Palm" in the 2 o'clock direction. If you pay 32 yen to the sailor near the entrance, he will take you to ``Poto-feu Town'' by boat.
6 From "Palm", proceed northeast along the coast and arrive at "Poto-feu Town".
Speak to "Sid" in the pub and learn [Hikuusen]. If you talk to a nearby henchman and pay him, he will send airships to 4 locations.
7 From "Pot-au-feu", arrive at "Salamando Town" northwest. Talk to "Joseph" in the house in the northeast and ask with [Mithril]I received a request. (It's not necessary as a flag. It's good to listen to it to understand the story.)
8 If you canoe east along the west river from Salamando, you will arrive at Semite Falls (Cave). Act in the following order.
  1. Talk to "Paul" in the northwest room of B3F. (This means that the hostage has been released)
  2. Fight with "Sergeant" in the central room of B5F. After defeating it, obtain "Mithril" from the treasure chest in the back.
You can get the teleportation book from the treasure chest in the northern part of B5F. It will be essential for future dungeon escapes, so if you haven't learned it yet, pick it up. Be careful as a Land Turtle will appear when you open the treasure chest. (Blizzard enabled)

"Yumi 3" will definitely take about 60 damage, so keep your HP high. It also has high defense power, and current weapons cannot take damage from it. It's best to attack with a one-sword style or blizzard that emphasizes attack.
9 Return to "Althea" and talk to "Tobur" in the weapon shop and give him "Mithril." From then on, mithril equipment salespeople will be added to weapon stores nationwide.
10 Arrived at the "Town of Bafsk" to the east from "Pot-au-feu". Act in the following order.
  1. Ask the soldier in the southwestern part using [Daisenkan]. From the stairs in the back to the underground passage.
  2. Talk to the Dark Knight in the back.
  3. Enter the room near the exit and get "Tsuukoushou" from the treasure chest. Escape by riding the magic circle in the same room.
The pass will be used later to enter the Great Warship, but it is not necessary if you can defeat the captain who is the gatekeeper. In this case, there is an advantage of leaving one item column empty.
11 Return to "Pofuto" and ask Cid with [Hyukusen] to learn [Taiyo no Fire].
12 Return to "Althea" and act in the following order.

  2. Ask the king in the eastern room with [Taiyo no Fire] and learn [Gaze Bell].

13 Return to "Salamand" and join Josef's party in the northeastern house with [Belle the Glasses].
14 Return to "Semite Falls", search near the blue stone in the northern part of the 1st floor, and obtain "Setsujosen" from the treasure chest in the back.
15 Enter the snowfield from the northwest of "Salamando" and arrive at the "Snowfield Cave" to the east. Act in the following order.
  1. Enter the southeast room on B5F and ask the giant beaver in the northwest using [Glasses of Bell] to be told the way out. (Optional. If you know the way out, you don't have to talk about it.)
  2. Battle with "Adamantai Mai" in the back. After defeating it, examine the wall behind it and get the "Megami Bell".
  3. Go through the door in the back and return to B1F. Battle with "Bogen" near the entrance. After defeating it, "Josef" leaves.
We recommend obtaining the "Kodai Sword" from the treasure chest in the southwestern part of B5F. This has the effect of inflicting a cursed state (attack/defense halved) on hit enemies, and is useful to have equipped as a tool to deal with hard enemies.

  3. Fight southwest of 5F → 4F and fight "Red Soul" in the next room. After defeating it, get "Egil's Torch" from the treasure chest in the back.

  5. An event will occur when you arrive at the bridge immediately after leaving the castle.

It is a fairly strong enemy that uses Lv8 attack magic repeatedly, is hard, has a high evasion rate, and absorbs all attributes. However, magic will only fly 3 times due to MP. First, curse it with the ancient sword and then bring it into a long battle. It's hard to hit, but it's hard to give a decisive blow if you don't curse.
17 Going due south from "Kashoon", you will arrive at "Chocobo Forest". By catching a chocobo, you can move twice as fast on the field without encountering enemies. The chocobo will return to the forest once you get off, but you can continue to use it as needed.
18 From "Kashoon", cross the desert and arrive at "Great Warship" in the south (11 o'clock direction from Finn). Act in the following order.
  1. Use "Tsuukousho" on the soldier at the entrance and proceed forward. (If you ask at Nobara, you will fight the captain. Even if you defeat him, you can proceed further.)
  2. Go to B1F from the northeast door on 1F and talk to Cid in the southern prison.
  3. Enter the room in the center of the 4th floor and use "Taiyo no Fire" on the engine. The great warship disappears and is forcibly moved to "Altair".
We recommend obtaining the "Sleeping Sword" from the treasure chest on B1F. If you talk to the guard on the 4th floor, it will become a captain's battle, and even if you defeat it, it will not disappear.
19 Act in the following order with "Althea".

  6. Go from the southwest room on the 6th floor to the 7th floor.
