"Monster Hunter: Wilderness" is the latest work under the Monster Hunter IP. There are a lot of UIs on the game interface. When players first see these, they feel a little confused and don’t know what they are for. The interface UI information is introduced as follows.
Sharing of interface information functions
①Stamina tank
Displays the player character's physical strength.
Normally, the slot will be displayed in a minimized state. When entering combat status, etc., the slot will automatically expand according to the situation.
※You can set the slot to remain expanded in the option settings.
When the green part of the gauge is exhausted, the hunter will collapse from exhaustion.
The remaining red part when receiving damage will gradually recover over time.
You can restore lost physical strength by using props such as recovery potions, or using environmental creatures with physical recovery effects.
Icons showing improved capabilities and status abnormalities
When the player's abilities are improved due to props, meals, equipment skills, etc., or when the monster's attacks cause attribute abnormalities or status abnormalities, icons showing these effects will be displayed above the health gauge.
②Endurance Gauge
Displays the player character's stamina.
Normally, the slot will be displayed in a minimized state. When entering combat status, etc., the slot will automatically expand according to the situation.
※You can set the slot to remain expanded in the option settings.
It is reduced when performing actions that require stamina such as sprinting, evading, and specific attack actions.
The reduced stamina will be gradually restored when no actions that require stamina are performed, but after a long period of time, the maximum value of the stamina gauge will slowly decrease.
You can increase the maximum value of your stamina gauge by eating or using props such as "roasted meat".

③The sharpness of melee weapons
Shows the sharpness of a melee weapon when equipped.
Normally, the slot will be displayed in a shortened state. When entering combat status, etc., the slot will automatically expand according to the situation.
※You can set the slot to remain expanded in the option settings.
The sharpness of the attack will gradually decrease when it hits a monster. The icon of the weapon will change color when the sharpness of the weapon decreases in stages.
After the sharpness stage decreases, the weapon's attack power will also decrease accordingly, making it easier for attacks to be deflected.
You can use fixed items such as "whetstone" to restore the reduced sharpness.
④Weapon-specific information
Displays the slots of the weapons in the equipment.
The slots unique to each weapon type will be displayed here, and will change with specific attack actions.
※Depending on the type of weapon, nothing may be displayed.
⑤Companion information
Displays the name and physical strength of companions traveling as members of the mission.
An icon indicating the type of weapon used by the companion will appear next to the name.
In addition, more icons will be displayed depending on the situation.
Icons showing improved capabilities and status abnormalities
When a quest member's ability is improved due to props, meals, equipment skills, etc., or when a quest member falls into attribute abnormality or status abnormality due to a monster attack, icons showing these effects will be displayed on the quest member next to the name.
Icon showing combat status
When a mission member enters combat status, an eye icon indicating combat status will be added to the member's weapon icon.
Icon showing multiplayer game status
Above a mission member's weapon icon, an icon will appear indicating that member's multiplayer status. The content of the icon is the same as that shown in the member list.
Multiplayer Overview
⑥Insect Guide Notice
Displays the collectible materials that the guide insect perceives and exist around the player.
You can capture displayed footage directly from the Hookshot.
⑦Mini map
Displays the surrounding terrain centered on the player, as well as various information accompanying the map.
Basically, the information displayed by the wilderness map will be displayed on the minimap unchanged, when the destination of the task/mission target is outside the minimap
An icon of a navigation arrow icon will be displayed on the minimap border in the direction toward the destination.
You can make the following settings via options.
・Small map size and scale
・Whether the minimap supports rotation and tilting�Angle setting.
Combat status display
By observing the color of the minimap border and the monster icons displayed on the minimap, you can confirm the current status of large monsters and your own combat status.
⑧Environmental clock
Shows the current time period and weather.
There are four time period displays: "Morning", "Daytime", "Dusk" and "Night"
There are three types of weather display: "Rich Period", "Desolation Period" and "Extreme Weather".
※Because some areas are not affected by weather, the environmental clock will not display weather information when in these areas.
⑨Target monster
Displays the icon of the monster closest to the player among the monsters near the player.
Press when the monster icon is displayed
When a monster is locked as the target, the display of the target monster will be fixed to this monster.
You can choose to target all monsters or only large monsters through the "Target Selection Filter" function in the options.
Icon showing the status of the mounted monster
When a monster is successfully mounted, the mounted monster will be displayed as the target monster, and special effects indicating the monster's wound status and action omen will appear around the icon.
Repeated attacks while mounted can cause wounds to monsters. As the number of wounds increases, the color of the special effects will change in the order of "blue → yellow → red".
When a monster wants to attack a mounted player, or hit the wall with its body to throw the player off, the special effect will turn orange and flash continuously.
About riding monsters
⑩Operation Guide
Shows the actions available to the player in the current situation.
Under normal circumstances, up to 5 operations are displayed. Only when riding the Heron Eagle Dragon, up to 10 operations are displayed.
Move name display
When the weapon is drawn, the "move name" will be displayed next to the operation guide when a specific move is successfully used.
⑪Task/Mission Objective
The move name display can be used as a reminder to determine whether the move shown in the operation guide has been used correctly.
Displays the primary objective of the currently active primary or secondary mission.
The number of main targets will increase or decrease depending on the situation, and any targets will be added regardless of whether you complete the mission.
Additional display in tasks
When a mission starts, the mission/mission objective display will automatically expand and additionally display the following mission-related information.

Shows items that can be fired as catapult ammunition.

⑭Ammunition / Bottle shortcut bar
When equipped with a ranged weapon, displays the currently selected ammo/bottle. Doesn't show up when melee weapons are equipped.
