Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 contains 10 Nevron Quests required for the trophy/achievement Aiding the Enemy. Throughout the game you encounter white Nevron (monsters) who will speak with you and have specific requests, which give a reward on completion.
The first Nevron you encounter during the story is in the Spring Meadows area, with the rest being spread throughout the main and side areas through the rest of the game.
To finish the quest you must make sure you fully exhaust the dialogue with the Nevron to receive the reward from them. In some interactions you give the Nevron something and have an automatic dialogue, but must speak with them again to actually receive the reward and complete the interaction. If you believe you have completed all quests but the trophy has not unlocked, it is likely because you didn’t fully speak with one of the Nevron, and will need to return to each and make sure you’ve exhausted their dialogue.
After completing the Nevron Quests you have a dialogue option where you can fight and them, but this is NOT RECOMMENDED outside of Nevron Quest #9. For the final Nevron Quest you have two possible interactions depending on whether you spared or killed the majority of Nevron, with the reward being significantly better for sparing them. If you kill the majority of them you have to fight a very hard boss and then receive a significantly worse reward.
For all other collectibles by story order and by type, refer to Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Collectible Guide.
Nevron Quests
Nevron Quests are listed in the order they can be encountered and completed through progression of the story. Unfortunately there is no way in-game to know which you have already completed without individually checking each Nevron or checking for the unique rewards some give.
Nevron Quest #1: Jar
Main Area: Spring Meadows > Abandoned Expeditioner Camp
Interact with the white Nevron by the Expedition Flag and it asks for “light”. Follow the main path into the next area past the bridge (over or under) and there is an enemy on the other side with some boxes behind it. Break the boxes to pick up a Resin. Take this Jar and interact with it to give it the Resin. Once out of the dialogue aim at the top of its staff and shoot it, then speak with it again to receive 1 x Healing Tint Shard and complete the interaction. You can choose to attack Jar after this, but there is a good reward later in the game if you let all Nevron live after dealing with them (outside of one specific Nevron late in the game).
Nevron Quest #2: Demineur
Main Area: Flying Waters > Noco’s Hut
In the location where Maelle joins your party after exiting the Manor for the first time, follow the main path into the next open area. Instead of going through the ship on the left as Maelle suggests, follow the path to the right into a tunnel where you can find the Nevron Demineur. Examine it and it is suggested you bring it a Mine.
On the path to the right of it there are round platforms you can jump across, and on the second platform to the right that leads back to the prior area you can pick up an Intact Mine. Bring it back to Demineur to receive the weapon Deminerim for Lune, completing the interaction.
Nevron Quest #3: Bourgeon
Side Area: The Small Bourgeon
Enter the area and underneath the large Bourgeon you can find a small white Bourgeon. Give it the Bourgeon Skin received after defeating any optional Bourgeon boss throughout the game (the first can be found in Flying Waters, there are many more throughout the Continent such as down the path to the right of Stone Wave Cliffs).
Leave the area and reenter to find it has grown in size. Interact with it, then pick up the Colour of Lumina it drops on the ground behind you. Speak with it once more to complete the interaction.
Nevron Quest #4: Hexga
Main Area: Stone Wave Cliffs > Old Farm
On the main path after the farm area you can spot the white Hexga on the side of the path. Before it will talk to you, it wants three of the shimmering rocks that the normal Hexga have. Keep following the main path into the cave where the next flag is to find the rocks in the cave below.
Rock Crystal #1 – Take the rope down into the cave, and you can spot the first crystal on the left where the enemy is walking. Attack it to make the pickup appear.
Rock Crystal #2 – Go up the slope in the middle of the room, the second crystal is behind the middle pillar.
Rock Crystal #3 – Take the path to the right side of the room where a Rocher holding a white pillar will appear. Defeat it to obtain the final crystal. Take the three crystals back to the Hexga to obtain Pictos: Auto Shell. Speak with it again to complete the interaction.
Nevron Quest #5: Troubadour
Side Area: Stone Quarry
Speak to the Nevron left of the journal pickup. Agree to help and you need to dodge its attacks when it plays red wrong notes, but get hit when it plays green correct notes. You need to complete three sequences of notes, each getting longer to complete the trial. The order is random each time, just the length of the sequence stays the same if you incorrectly dodge one of the notes. Once you successfully complete the trial speak to the Troubadour to receive Pictos: Healing Parry and complete the interaction.
Nevron Quest #6: Portier
Side Area: Esoteric Ruins
Follow the path into the area and speak with the glowing orb in the middle of the room. It says it wants an item in the next area. Follow the path up to reach a maze. To get through the maze the trick is to shoot the orbs in previous rooms through the open doors, as specific orbs trigger specific doors. To get through the final door you need to shoot the orb back in the first room through the middle room.
Wooden Boards – After getting through the Maze, the boards are sitting on the top of the slanted building before you use the grapple points. Take them back to the orb and give them to it to receive Pictos: Protecting Heal, completing the interaction.
Nevron Quest #7: Benisseur
Side Area: Red Woods
Enter the area and interact with the glowing basin on the ground. Choose to pour in 5,000, then 10,000, then 25,000, and finally 50,000 Chroma to receive the Recovery Pictos and complete the interaction.
Nevron Quest #8: Danseuse
Side Area: Frozen Hearts > Glacial Falls
From the flag take the left path up the stairs and go to the end of the train tracks. You can then drop into an area with a bunch of white Nevron Danseuse. Agree to a dance, then parry all of the attacks. The pattern is the same as the three hit combo the normal Danseuse do, just slightly faster and a bunch of times in a row. You can retry as many times as you need, if you die during the sequence you are returned to standing in front of the Danseuse and can speak with it to try again. Awards Outfit: Danseuse for Lune.
Nevron Quest #9: Chalier
Side Area: Floating Cemetery
Past the flag on the left you can find the Nevron standing by a pile of bodies. Choose a weapon it should wield (this will correspond to which you fight it with) then it will go into the building. Go inside and fight it.
After beating it, speak with it and it asks you to kill it. You can choose not to agree with its request to kill it, but this doesn’t cause it to give you the Pictos reward so it is recommended that you do, as agreeing to kill it doesn’t count against the reward given by Blanche for sparing the Nevron. Agreeing causes it to give you the Auto Powerful Pictos, completing the request.
Nevron Quest #10: Blanche
Side Area: The Fountain
Head into the area to find Blanche standing in the second open area. Speak to it, and it will have a different reaction depending on whether you spared or killed the other white Nevron. If you spared them as recommended, you receive 100 x Colour of Lumina, but if you killed them you will have to fight it, after which you receive 10 x Colour of Lumina and 2 x Grandiose Chroma Catalyst (a significantly worse reward, hence the recommendation to spare them all). Either way, once you complete this interaction you should receive the trophy/achievement Aiding the Enemy . If you didn’t it is likely you didn’t finish speaking with one of the prior Nevron to receive their reward, so should return to each and try speaking with them again.
