Like in all shooters, there are always a few standout weapons in them. Delta Force Hawk Ops is no different. Players who want to try some really good guns have a few variations of Assault Rifles to try in most modes. There are also some really strong SMGs and Marskamn rifles to work on to. This guide looks at the best guns in Delta Force Hawk Ops that you should try.
Note that the current list of items are from the Alpha, There will be balancing and changes to the weapon smith over time. This guide may not be entirely accurate come beta and even launch. But, for Alpha players, this is up to date. You can find our recommended loadouts for our best guns list along with the share codes below.
Best weapons in Delta Force Hawk Ops
In our experience, the best weapons typically are assault rifles. There are a few recommendations we list below, featuring the Car-15 for new players, the AKS-74 for close-range assault rifle players, the AK 12 for amid-range later unlock weapons. When you get even further the QBZ is an incredibly good mid-range accurate weapon that feels really nice to use. outside of that, we recommend the SMG-45 for SMG players for an all-around solid SMG, and long-range players can run the SVD as it is by far the strongest marksman rifle available. You’ll find Snipers lack a lot of pressure in this game, so a strong marksman rifle that gets modded for solid accuracy, stability and control will dominate those longer-range gun fights. You can find a more in-depth look at attachments and their playstyle strengths below.
Note that different weapon types are used by different operators. Most operators can use Assault rifles, while only a few can use SMG and the Marksman rifles on this list. Recon can use MM, while supports have access to SMGs for example.
Car-15 Assault Rifle: Best new player weapon
For an all-around strong weapon, the CAR-15 is one of the best guns in Delta Force Hawk Ops. For a starter weapon, it has a very balanced profile of stats. It’s got fairly decent accuracy, recoil control, and gun sway stability. You can easily use this gun for the entire game if you want to. The other benefit is the weapon is available to all operators, so it is a comfort weapon when you’re trying new classes and operators out too.
For the attachment focus on control, stability and accuracy. There are not a great deal of attachment slots for the weapon making it somewhat limited, but, the base stats make it a good weapon to get used to the game with.
If you want mobility with an assault rifle profile, then the AKS 74U offers adaptability for SMG and AR players.
AKS-74 – Best close range AR for supports
The AKS-74 is a powerful gun in the early game. This weapon is incredibly strong for the close to medium-range assault rifle roles. You get some power of range while also being a very strong weapon in close quarters. It’s the type of weapon you want to bring when you’re fighting support operators in close quarters who use the strong SMGs. It’s a solid choice of weapon for support operator players.

The AK 12 is a strong assault rifle that offers strong power at close to medium ranges.
AK 12 – Best high damage weapon
The AK 12 has strong armour penetration, damage per round, and a good fire rate. The major downside is the weapon’s sway at range. By getting attachments that offer stability and control, you can make your mid to long-range damage much more easier to use with spray. You’ll find this is a strong weapon with the upgraded armor rounds in the Turmoil mode. Or if you’re looking for a high-power AR in the Battlefield-like mode, this weapon has you covered.
Most notably, this weapon competes with the SCAR. But, the SCAR and the AK 12 are not on the same operators. So it gives both weapons a chance to shine.

The QBZ is arguably the best gun in Delta Force Hawk Ops because of its fantastic accuracy and control against ranged targets.
QBZ – best accuracy weapon
The QBZ is a really strong assault rifle that has almost little recoil, and has strong stability and accuracy. More notably, it has very strong accuracy, control and stability for hitting targets up to 70 meters away. It’s easily one of the best assault rifles for ranged gunfights. The only downside is that the weapon has no optics early on and its damage profile at range makes it a pea shooter. It’s a solid weapon for close and mid-range, and if you’re a keen eye it’s very effective at long range, even challenging marksman rifles and snipers if they are not playing too far back. You’ll find this weapon is only available for assault operators like Vyron.

- Feel free to add the rail mode when you unlock it and change some of the attachments up, these are our core attachments for extremely accurate gunfire.
The M4 can be modded to have extremely strong bullet velocity, RPM and remain fairly stable and easy to control over long distances.
M4A1 – Best overall gun in Delta Force Hawk Ops
Alternatively, the M4A1 is a beast of a weapon when you can get it. The weapon is fairly accurate, has a good rate of fire, good damage at range, stability and recoil control. Moreover, with certain barrel and rail modifiers, this weapon can have so many attachments that you can easily add more modifiers to hone the gun perfectly to your heart’s desire. This is the type of weapon you may want to chuck your weapon XP tokens on and power level to unlock all the premium attachments to modify the gun to your abilities.
You’ll find the gun works amazingly sub 40 meters. At 50 your stability woble slightly, but holding your breath keep your aim on target. At 100 meters, you need to use your breath in stability and tap your rounds two to three times to take on targets at that range effectively. Your stability and low recoil will suffer against targets at range. But realistically you’ll be max fighting enemies at a maximum of 80 meters, which is fine. At that range you can also hold the spray down slightly and be fine with some slight aim drag down and stability centralising. These are the attachments we tested for our favourite combination for recoil and stability control.
There’s some calibration on the weapon too. We’re mainly upping it for extra control and stability while sacrificing ADS time. You’re not going to notice a -8% ADS speed penalty except in a few CQB situations.

The SCAR-H is a powerful long-range assault rifle perfect for Support or Engineer players wanting a strong Assault Rifle.
SCAR – Best AR for Engineers and Supports at range
If you’re looking for an assault rifle to run on your engineer and support rifles, then the SCAR-H is your option. This weapon is very powerful with its high damage profile but low fire rate and starter magazine capacity give it a challenge early on. Once you can upgrade the magazine capacity, you’ll find you can challenge enemies very well. Try aiming for the head too as you’ll see just how much power this weapon possesses. The only downside is that it doesn’t operate too well close range, which gives the SMG 45 and AKS 74 its niche still.
Once again, the SCAR requires some higher-end attachments for the gun that only unlock in the higher gun level regions. Gradually aim for increased control and stability over time till you can get these attachments. You can also tune the weapon greatly by reducing ADS speeds for increased stability while on the move. This is important as you weave your body to avoid enemy fire. ADS is not really that important for the SCAR since you’re a long-range high-damage rifle and want to be pushing your higher damage and range advantage, so you tend to peak already aiming in.

The SG 556 is an easy-to-obtain and powerful AR for all players in the Turmoil mode.
SG 556 – Our Turmoil mode special
The SG 556 is one of our favourites for Turmoil mode (DMZ / Tarkov-like mode.) The most notable thing about the weapons is that they perform very well in medium ranges (the 40-80 meter ranges). You’ll find this is where the guards are most often shooting you from. As for players, this weapon is easy to use. It won’t put out the most damage compared to other higher profile weapons, but with the higher rarity 556 ammo, the SG will perform. You’re not getting an attachment list since it is our Turmoil mode weapon and attachments are expensive to keep repurchasing or extract with. Aim for the 30-round mag at a minimum, a silver of choice and an optic and you’re often in a good spot. Oh and the SG 556 is very easy to get and cheap to buy so you can keep running in with it if you want to.
On a side note, the SG 556 is an AR that the recon classes can unlock. If you want to play a Recon but more closer to medium range then it is a decent option. The M16 might be better for the longer-range recon classes, but its an option for Hacklcaw at any rate.
The SVD with a 20-round magazine will be able to contest enemies at medium to long range very effectively. It’s likely the best-ranged weapon in Delta Force Hawk Ops.
SVD – Best MM rifle for Recon
If you like playing a sniping-type role, then the SVD is a fantastic marksman rifle to use. This gun has meaty rounds that can compete with mid-range assault rifles. Lading a headshot at medium to long-range damage can also seriously threaten snipers or other players looking to push up. Feel free to get attachments that add control and accuracy to the weapon, alongside the 20-round mag. This will make the weapon much more impactful to use, especially when you need 4-5 shots to kill enemies 100-200 meters away. As for closer-range enemies, you only need three, unless you headshot then it is two.

The SMG 45 can be modified to be a very strong close rand and mid-range SMG.
SMG 45 Best early game SMG for Supports and Hackclaw
There are a lot of really good SMGs in Delta Force, each with their one flavour of the 0-50 meter niche of controlling areas. However, a stand-out weapon is the SMG 45. This western-looking SMG is feels very strong close-range weapon, and with better recoil control added to the weapon, it can deal significant damage for fighting enemies around the 50-meter range. The more recoil you add the better that 50-meter range fighting will be. It still takes around seven rounds to kill an opponent, but, the rate of fire and armour pen will compete very well against assault rifles at teat range.
