Unlike other Yatzy Scorekeeper apps the score card for each game is persisted and saved in the history. This way you can quickly glance at each Yahtzee score sheet.

There is also built in support for multiple Yahtzees.

Depending on your region, you might also know this game as Yahtzy. In the early days it was first marketed as Yatzie by the National Association Service of Toledo, Ohio.

How to play Yatzy?

It's a turn based game, where each player can roll up to three times using 5 dices. You can set back dices individually to build patterns and gather points.

Yatzy is a dice game where players roll five dice to create various combinations and score points. The Yatzy scoring card provides a structured way to record these combinations and calculate the total score.

Sections of the Scoring Card

The Yatzy scoring card typically consists of the following sections:

* Upper Section: Contains six categories based on the sum of dice with specific numbers (e.g., Ones, Twos, Threes, etc.).

* Lower Section: Includes categories that require specific dice combinations, such as pairs, three-of-a-kinds, and four-of-a-kinds.

* Bonus Section: Awards an additional 50 points if the total score in the Upper Section exceeds 63.

* Yatzy Section: Allows players to score 50 points if they roll all five dice with the same number.

Scoring Rules

Upper Section:

* Players sum the values of all dice with the corresponding number (e.g., for Ones, add up all dice showing the number 1).

Lower Section:

* Pair: Score the sum of the two highest-valued dice.

* Two Pairs: Score the sum of the two highest-valued pairs of dice.

* Three-of-a-Kind: Score the sum of the three dice with the same number.

* Four-of-a-Kind: Score the sum of the four dice with the same number.

* Full House: Score 25 points for a combination of three-of-a-kind and a pair.

* Small Straight: Score 30 points for a sequence of four consecutive numbers (e.g., 2, 3, 4, 5).

* Large Straight: Score 40 points for a sequence of five consecutive numbers (e.g., 1, 2, 3, 4, 5).

* Yatzy: Score 50 points for rolling all five dice with the same number.

Bonus Section:

* If the total score in the Upper Section exceeds 63, players receive an additional 50 points.

Gameplay

Players take turns rolling the dice and filling out the scoring card. They can choose to roll the dice up to three times per turn. Once a category has been scored, it cannot be changed. The game ends when all categories have been filled.

Winning

The player with the highest total score at the end of the game wins.
