This game has many different names in different regions. Hoşgen, hoskin, hosgin, okşin, piniker, nezere, hoskil are some of these names. Even though their names are different, the rules are very similar.

The aim of the game is, before the game starts, after counting the numbers in his hand and estimating the number he can get, the players take turns saying a number for the tender, and the player who takes the tender tries to get at least as many hands as the number he said, if not, he gets points equal to the number he said.

Points scored at the beginning of the game:

aces

Married

In Hokshin, if a Priest and a girl of the same color come together, they are considered married. If they are of trump suit, they score 40 points, and if they are of the other suits, they score 20 points.

There are 20 cards in each hand. When the player's turn comes, the first player plays a trump card or a non-trump card in his hand. The next player must also play a card from that series (he does not have to raise). For example, if the one who started the hand played 10 of Clubs, he must play the Club card next to him.

If there is no club, he can take the trick by flashing a trump card. If there is no trump card, he discards an ordinary card.

If the trump card is not nailed, the one who threw the highest card takes the hand; if it is nailed, the one who flashed the highest trump card gets the trick. For example, even if the trump card is a diamond and the game started with the Ace of Clubs, even the lowest card of the diamond wins this trick. The trump card is of greater value than any other card, but can only be used if there is no remaining of the suit played.

In Hokshin, the biggest card is the Ace, then the 10. That's why he takes cards other than the 10 Ace.

Another situation specific to Hokshin is that there are 4 of each card. For example, when you throw a Club Ace, the player next to you can also throw a Club Ace. In such cases, whoever throws first gets the ball.

Objective

Gameplay

The game is played with 2 to 4 players. One player is designated as the dealer. The dealer shuffles the deck and deals 7 cards to each player. The remaining cards are placed face down in a pile in the center of the table.
