Chyornaya Peschera Cave is the 9th region in Metal Gear Solid 3 Delta: Snake Eater.

Chyornaya Peschera Cave Branch

Camo (Animals) – As soon as you start this will be in front of you, it’s the reward for defeating Ocelot by depleting his stamina. Use the thermal goggles to see it more easily. You can also increase the brightness to the maximum in the graphics settings, or light the cigar for a little bit of light.

Kenyan Mangrove Crab – In the same area, you will see several of these using the Thermal Goggles.

Snake B (Taiwanese Cobra) – From the starting room, take the exit in front of the Animals Camo, take the next right to reach a dead-end. The snake will be there at a skeleton and a green glowing mushroom.

Mushroom E (Russian Glow Cap) – In the same spot as the snake. Looks like a neon green glowing mushroom.

Weapon (Torch) – From the snake/mushroom, turn around and backtrack to the previous room, take the first exit on the right (past a crawlspace in a wall) to come to a room filled with water and two waterfalls. In the alcove between the two waterfalls is this item.

Ga-Ko #16 – On top of the archway leading to the torch, next to the right side waterfall.

Vampire Bat – Opposite where you found the Torch, there is a small opening leading up to another cavern and a crawl space, go on through to come to a room with bats on the ceiling.

Kerotan #16 – Go through the other crawl space in the vampire bat room which leads to a room with a hole in the middle, it is sitting above the hole on the rocks.

NVG (Night Vision Goggles) – directly below the Kerotan. Afterward backtrack to the Torch room and then back one more room.

Where to go next: backtrack to the start of the cave, to the room before the waterfalls. Just before the corridor leading to Snake B/Mushroom E, there’s a crawlspace at the bottom of the cave wall. Crawl through there and follow the linear path to the end of the cave.

Chyornaya Peschera Cave

Weapon (M37) – At the start of the area take the right path to find this (instead of going straight ahead through the tunnel in front of you).

Camo (Snow) – Use the crawl space after grabbing the M37 to find this at the end of the path.

Kerotan #17 – You can shoot this before, during or after The Pain fight. It’s above the platform he is on, on top of the hole in the ceiling.

The Pain Hornets’ Nest – This is the food item you saved your Hornets’ Nest for, it can only be obtained here. During The Pain boss fight, equip the nest as a weapon from your backpack. With it equipped, allow The Pain to use his attack where bees swarm you and stick to your body for 5-10 seconds, after this the nest will be removed and converted into The Pain Hornet’s Nest in your food menu. Eat it. This is highly missable.

Ga-Ko #17 – After the boss fight, take the path to the right of the exit. Near the end of the path before going back into the cave, turn right and look up. There’s a hole in the ceiling with this duck sitting in it, where sunlight comes through.

Camo (Hornet Stripe) – Awarded for defeating The Pain by depleting his stamina. After the boss fight it’s on the platform where he was, take the path to the right of the exit (where the Ga-Ko is) and drop down to reach it.

Chyornaya Peschera Cave Entrance

Kerotan #18 – Work your way through the cave, eventually you will see a small opening on the left with claymores in it. Shoot the claymores to destroy them. Then enter this room, turn around and look up to check the opening where light is shining through.

Ga-Ko #18 – Proceed forward until you come to a mountain path leading down, you will see a green glowcap mushroom here. Look directly forward and up to see this in the crack where the sunlight is coming from, can be hard to see at first. It’s at the very end of the crack (north end).
