Maintenance

Whist 22 is a trick-taking card game played with a standard 52-card deck. It is a variant of the classic game Whist, but with some unique features that make it more challenging and exciting.

Objective

The objective of Whist 22 is to be the first player or team to reach 22 points by winning tricks. Points are scored by taking certain cards in tricks, including trumps, aces, and kings.

Setup

The game is played by four players in two partnerships. Partners sit opposite each other. The deck is shuffled and each player is dealt 13 cards.

Bidding

After the cards have been dealt, there is a bidding round. Players bid on the number of tricks they believe they can take. The highest bidder becomes the declarer and chooses the trump suit.

Gameplay

The player to the left of the declarer leads with any card. Players must follow suit if possible. If they cannot follow suit, they may play any card, including a trump card. The highest card of the suit led, or the highest trump card played, wins the trick. The player who wins the trick leads the next card.

Scoring

Points are scored as follows:

* Trumps: 1 point per trump card taken

* Aces: 4 points per ace taken

* Kings: 3 points per king taken

* Queens: 2 points per queen taken

* Jacks: 1 point per jack taken

Winning

The first player or team to reach 22 points wins the game. If both teams reach 22 points on the same trick, the team with the higher score wins.

Variations

There are many variations of Whist 22, including:

* No Trump Whist 22: There is no trump suit.

* Silent Whist 22: Players cannot communicate with their partners during the game.

* Progressive Whist 22: The number of tricks required to win increases with each round.

Strategy

Whist 22 is a game of skill and strategy. Some basic strategies include:

* Count your cards: Keep track of the cards that have been played and try to deduce what cards your opponents may have.
