Skip-Bo is a fast-paced card game that combines elements of strategy, skill, and luck. The game is played with a special deck of 162 cards, including:

* 12 Skip-Bo cards

* 18 wild cards

* 130 number cards (2-12) in four suits

Objective:

The goal of Skip-Bo is to be the first player to get rid of all their cards by building "piles" in ascending numerical order from 1 to 12.

Setup:

* Shuffle the deck and deal 30 cards to each player.

* The remaining cards form the draw pile.

* Place four empty piles in the center of the table.

Gameplay:

1. Start: The player with the lowest number card in their hand starts the game.

2. Building Piles: Players take turns building piles by playing cards from their hands onto the center piles. Each pile must start with a number 1 and ascend in numerical order.

3. Wild Cards: Wild cards can be played on any pile to represent any number. They can also be used to skip a turn.

4. Skip-Bo Cards: Skip-Bo cards can be played at any time to force the next player to skip their turn.

5. Building Stockpiles: If a player cannot play a card, they must draw cards from the draw pile until they can play one. If the draw pile is empty, the discard pile is shuffled and becomes the new draw pile.

6. Skipping Turns: If a player cannot play a card and has no cards in their hand, they must skip their turn.

Winning:

The first player to get rid of all their cards wins the game.

Variations:

* 2-Player Skip-Bo: Played with a smaller deck and fewer cards per player.

* Skip-Bo Junior: A simplified version for younger players.

* Skip-Bo Tournament Edition: A more challenging version with additional rules and strategies.
