Objective:

The objective of Farkle is to score the most points by rolling combinations of six dice. Players take turns rolling the dice and scoring points until they decide to stop rolling or until they "farkle" (fail to score any points in a turn).

Gameplay:

1. Start of Turn: The player rolls all six dice.

2. Scoring: The player scores points by rolling specific combinations of dice:

- Three or more of a kind: 100 points per die

- Three pairs: 200 points

- Three of a kind and a pair: 300 points

- Four of a kind: 1000 points

- Five of a kind: 2000 points

- Six of a kind: 3000 points

- Straight: 1500 points (1-2-3-4-5-6)

- Three pairs and a single: 1500 points

3. Banking Points: After scoring, the player can choose to bank their points or continue rolling. If they bank their points, they add them to their score.

4. Farkle: If the player fails to score any points in a turn, they "farkle" and lose all points earned in that turn.

5. End of Turn: The player's turn ends when they either:

- Bank their points

- Farkle

- Choose to roll again

6. End of Game: The game ends when a player reaches or exceeds a predetermined score, typically 10,000 points. The player with the highest score wins.

Strategy:

Farkle requires a balance of risk and reward. Players must decide when to bank their points to avoid the risk of farkling, but they also need to roll aggressively to score as many points as possible. Some common strategies include:

- Rolling for high-scoring combinations (e.g., three or more of a kind)

- Saving dice that are part of multiple combinations (e.g., a pair that can also be used in a three of a kind)

- Banking points when the score is close to the winning threshold

- Taking calculated risks to try to score big
