Gameplay Overview

Dummy & Toon Poker ดัมมี่ทุย is a popular Thai card game that combines elements of Rummy and Poker. Players aim to form sets and sequences of cards, with the highest-ranking hand winning the pot. The game uses a standard deck of 52 cards, and players are dealt 13 cards each.

Card Combinations

The goal of the game is to create sets and sequences of cards. Sets consist of three or four cards of the same rank, while sequences consist of three or more cards in a row. There are two types of sequences: straight (three or more cards in a row of the same suit) and flush (three or more cards of the same suit in a row).

Gameplay

The game begins with the player to the left of the dealer drawing a card from the deck. The player can then choose to meld (lay down) sets or sequences, or pass. If a player melds, they must draw another card from the deck. The game continues until one player melds all of their cards or the deck runs out.

Poker Hands

In addition to sets and sequences, players can also form Poker hands. Poker hands are ranked according to the standard Poker hierarchy, with Royal Flush being the highest and High Card being the lowest. Players can form Poker hands using their own cards or by combining their cards with cards that have been melded by other players.

Betting

Betting takes place after each player has had an opportunity to meld. Players can bet, raise, or fold. The betting continues until all players have folded or the pot has been capped.

Winning

The player with the highest-ranking hand at the end of the game wins the pot. If two or more players have the same hand, the pot is split evenly between them.

Variations

There are several variations of Dummy & Toon Poker, including:

* Classic Dummy: Players are not allowed to form Poker hands.

* No Limit Dummy: There is no limit to the amount of money that players can bet.

* Pot Limit Dummy: The maximum bet size is equal to the size of the pot.
