Gameplay Overview

The game is played with a standard deck of 52 cards and can accommodate 2 to 4 players. Each player receives 11 cards, and the remaining cards form the draw pile.

Players take turns drawing cards from either the draw pile or the discard pile. They must then meld their cards into sets (three or more cards of the same rank) or runs (three or more cards in sequence of the same suit). Melds must be laid face up on the table.

Tonking and Going Out

The key to winning Tonk Rummy is to "tonk" your opponents. This occurs when you meld all the cards in your hand in one turn. A player who goes out first wins the game and earns points based on the remaining cards in their opponents' hands.

Discarding and Drawing
