Introduction

Durak is a classic Russian card game for two to six players, known for its strategic gameplay and intense competition. The objective of the game is to be the first player to get rid of all their cards.

Gameplay

The game is played with a standard 36-card deck. One player is designated as the "attacker" and the others are the "defenders." The attacker starts the game by playing a card face up on the table. The defenders must then play a card that is higher in value or of the same suit as the attacker's card. If they cannot do so, they must draw a card from the deck.

The game continues in this manner, with the attacker playing cards and the defenders trying to block them. If the defenders cannot block an attacker's card, they must "take" the card and add it to their hand. The attacker then continues to play cards until they are blocked or run out of cards.

Special Cards

Durak features several special cards that can have a significant impact on the game:

* Trump Card: The trump card is the highest card in the deck and can beat any other card.

* Six: The six of any suit can force the defender to draw two cards.

* Seven: The seven of any suit can force the defender to skip their turn.

* Ace: The ace of any suit can be played on any other card, except for the trump card.

Winning

The first player to get rid of all their cards wins the game. If the game ends in a draw, the player with the fewest cards in their hand wins.

Variations

There are several variations of Durak, including:
