What’s that bumblebee is a great way to engage with and identify the UK’s 8 most common bumblebees. The app uses augmented reality, illustrations, images and species details to create a simple and accessible tool for all ages (Augmented reality is only available on compatible devices). There are 24 species of bumblebee in the UK but the vast majority of the bumblebees you see in a garden or park will be one of the 8 most common bumblebees featured in the app. This educational app is brought to you by the Bumblebee Conservation Trust, a UK charity dedicated to creating a world in which bumblebees are thriving and valued. The app was created with the support of the National Lottery Heritage Fund.

Objective:

The goal of What's That Bumblebee? is to identify and collect the most bumblebee cards. The game is played over several rounds, and the player with the most cards at the end of the game wins.

Gameplay:

1. Setup: Each player is dealt 5 cards. The remaining cards are placed face down in a pile in the center of the table.

2. Gameplay: On your turn, you can do one of two things:

* Draw a card: Draw the top card from the pile.

* Play a card: Play a card from your hand face up on the table.

3. Matching: If the card you play matches the card on top of the pile, you collect both cards. If the cards do not match, the card you played is placed on top of the pile.

4. Special Cards: There are four special cards in the game:

* Queen Bee: Allows you to draw two cards instead of one.

* Worker Bee: Allows you to play two cards instead of one.

* Drone Bee: Allows you to swap two cards in your hand.

* Honeycomb: Allows you to collect all of the cards on the table.

5. End of the Game: The game ends when there are no more cards left in the pile. The player with the most cards wins.

Strategy:

There are a few strategies that can help you win at What's That Bumblebee?

* Pay attention to the cards that are being played. This will help you remember which cards are still in the pile.

* Try to collect sets of cards. Sets of three or more cards are worth more points than individual cards.

* Use the special cards wisely. The special cards can be very helpful in getting the cards you need to win.

* Don't be afraid to draw cards. The more cards you have, the more likely you are to get a match.

Variations:

There are many variations of What's That Bumblebee? that you can play. Some of the most popular variations include:

* Speed Bumblebee: This variation is played much faster than the original game. Players are only allowed to draw one card per turn, and they must play a card immediately if they can.

* Team Bumblebee: This variation is played in teams of two. The players on each team work together to collect the most cards.

* Giant Bumblebee: This variation is played with a giant deck of cards. The cards are spread out on the floor, and the players move around the cards trying to collect matches.
