Asmodeus is a strategy board game for two players, ages 12 and up, that takes about 30 minutes to play. The game is set in a medieval world where players take on the roles of rival wizards summoning creatures to do their bidding.

Objective

The objective of Asmodeus is to be the first player to summon seven creatures to your side of the board.

Setup

To set up the game, each player chooses a color and takes the corresponding set of creature cards. The cards are shuffled and placed face down in a draw pile. Each player then draws five cards. The remaining cards are placed in a discard pile.

The game board is placed between the players. The board is divided into two halves, one for each player. Each half of the board is further divided into three rows: the front row, the middle row, and the back row.

Gameplay

On their turn, a player can take one of three actions:

* Summon a creature: To summon a creature, the player must pay the cost of the creature in mana. Mana is generated by playing creature cards. The cost of a creature is indicated by the number of mana symbols on the card.

* Move a creature: A player can move a creature one space forward, backward, or sideways. Creatures cannot move through other creatures.

* Attack a creature: A player can attack a creature by moving one of their creatures into the same space as the target creature. The attacking creature must be stronger than the target creature in order to defeat it.

Combat
