Introduction

بلوت VIP is a popular trick-taking card game originating from the Middle East. It is played with a standard 52-card deck, and the objective is to be the first team to reach a predetermined score.

Gameplay

The game is played between two teams of two players each. One player from each team sits across from each other, forming two partnerships. The cards are shuffled and dealt evenly among the players.

Bidding

Before the first trick, each player bids on the number of tricks they believe their team can take. The highest bidder becomes the declarer, and their team's bid becomes the target score for that round.

Tricks

The player to the left of the declarer leads the first trick by playing any card. Other players must follow suit if possible. If a player cannot follow suit, they may play any card, including a trump card. The highest card of the suit led or the highest trump card wins the trick.

Trump

One suit is designated as the trump suit at the beginning of each round. Trump cards are always higher than non-trump cards, regardless of their rank.

Scoring

If the declarer's team takes the number of tricks they bid, they score 10 points plus 1 point for each additional trick. If they fail to make their bid, they lose 10 points.

Special Rules

- Nil: A player may bid "nil" if they believe they will not take any tricks. If successful, they score 100 points.

- Marriage: If a player holds both the King and Queen of the trump suit, they earn 20 bonus points.

- 40: If a player takes all 13 tricks, they score 40 points.

Variations

There are numerous variations of بلوت VIP, including:

- No-trump: No suit is designated as trump.

- Partnerless: Players play individually instead of in teams.

- Fixed trump: The trump suit is predetermined before the game begins.
