Scopa Online is a captivating multiplayer card game that has gained immense popularity worldwide. Originating in Italy, it is a simple yet engaging game that can be enjoyed by players of all skill levels.

Gameplay

Scopa is played with a standard Italian deck of 40 cards, consisting of four suits: Swords, Cups, Coins, and Batons. Each suit has ten cards, ranging from Ace to Ten.

The game is played between two to four players, with each player receiving three cards face down at the start. The remaining cards are placed in a central pile called the "monte."

The objective of Scopa is to capture as many cards as possible by forming combinations of cards that total 15 points. These combinations are called "scopas" (sweeps).

Scopas

There are two types of scopas:

* Primiera: A combination of three cards that total 15 points.

* Scopa: A combination of four cards that total 15 points.

Gameplay Sequence

The game proceeds in a clockwise direction. On their turn, a player draws a card from either the monte or the discard pile. They then play one or more cards from their hand to form scopas or capture cards from the table.

Cards can be captured if they match the suit or rank of the top card on the discard pile. For example, if the top card on the discard pile is a Seven of Swords, a player can capture it by playing any Seven or any Sword card.

Scoring

Players score points by capturing cards and forming scopas. Each card captured is worth one point. A primiera is worth two points, while a scopa is worth three points.

Winning

The game ends when the monte is empty and all the cards have been captured. The player with the highest score wins the game.

Variations

Scopa Online offers various game modes and variations, including:

* Traditional Scopa: The standard version of the game.

* Scopone Scientifico: A more complex variant played with two teams of two players.

* Scopa d'Assi: A variation where Aces are worth 11 points and can be used to form scopas with other cards.
