A Brokered Trust is a Bounty quest in Ghost of Yotei.

A Brokered Trust Starting Location: Oshima Coast > Matsumae Residences > talk to Kojiro the Bounty Broker, he offers this quest directly to you (not from a wanted poster)
A Brokered Trust Bounty Location: Oshima Coast > Matsumae Castle docks
This bounty will be given directly by Kojiro the Bounty Broker when talking to him, after doing a bunch of other bounties in Oshima Coast region. For me he gave it after doing 2 bounties in this region: Eagle Eye Kondo + Iwa the Beautiful. If he doesn’t give it just keep doing other bounties until he wants to talk to you. Choose the dialogue to accept the job.
Afterward you can mark the objective on the map, south of Matsumae Castle at the coastline. Then the wind will guide you there. You must interact with a wanted poster of Kojiro that’s pinned to one of the market stalls. Here choose “Wait for Kojiro”.
Some other bounty hunters arrive, kill them. Get on your horse and ride with Kojiro, kill the bounty hunters along the way. If any injured ones are crawling on the floor you must kill those too. After getting back on your horse you will ride to a house outside town. Here you must kill more waves of enemies while defending Kojiro. Afterward this quest is complete and it adds to the trophy counter. Note that there won’t be a “slashed bounty poster” screen for this one but it does count.
A Brokered Trust Reward: Armor Dye (Cold Blood) + 1500 Coins
