Black Night Kubo is a Bounty quest in Ghost of Yotei.

Black Night Kubo Starting Location: Teshio Ridge > Red Crane Inn Bounty Board
Black Night Kubo Bounty Location: Teshio Ridge > Black Knight Dueling Ring
Black Knight Kubo is found at the “Black Knight Dueling Ring” in Sentinel Forest. It’s a named map location that gets marked when going near it. Enter the area, it looks like a round snow-filled area with bamboo around it and several straw lanterns. On the side you will see a dead body, next to this body you can interact with the straw mat to clap the woodblocks. You have to be wearing a black armor while you clap the woodblocks, then Kubo will appear. If you wear other colors he won’t show up. What works is to equip the default “Eyes in Smoke” color of the Nine Tail Armor (automatic story unlock during The Kitsune main tale). Mask/Helmet you can unequip. Now defeat Kubo in the 1v1 duel.
