Ghost of Yotei contains 15 Bamboo Strike locations. Finding all Bamboo Strikes is one of the requirements for the Body, Mind, and Spirit trophy.
Bamboo Strikes are little QTE button input challenges where you must press buttons in a specific order. They increase your total Spirit, which are the yellow dots in the bottom left of the screen above your healthbar and allow you to use special attacks. 2 Bamboo Strikes come from the story and the remaining 13 are found in the open world. They get marked when going near them. 1 Bamboo Strike icon is a little bit hidden on the map, in Tokachi Range it’s overlapped by the Huranui’s Rest Inn icon. There’s also an unmarked Bamboo Strike at your home.
Nothing is missable, everything can still be done after the story in free-roam.

The first Bamboo Strike is automatically completed during Main Tale: The Way of Dual Katana, can’t miss it.

Yotei Grasslands
3 – Home
You must interact with the broken bamboo strike in your home, across from your father’s forge at the cliffs. After rebuilding the bamboo strike you can cut through it. On the map it’s covered by the “Home” location and doesn’t have its own Bamboo Strike icon.

8 – Huranui’s Rest Inn
This one is a bit hidden as it’s not marked on the map. It’s at the Huranui’s Rest Inn, outside to the left of the inn where some ronin are standing. On the map it’s covered by the Huranui’s Rest Inn icon so doesn’t appear as its own Bamboo Strike icon on the map, similar to the one in your Home.
9 – Misty Valley Bamboo Strike
Must do Mythic Tale: The Spider Lily General to access this. You can return to it any time after completing this tale. It’s in the bamboo labyrinth at Abandoned Tominaga Estate, past the Mysterious Gate.

Lightning will strike you when attempting to strike the bamboo. To avoid this you must throw away the spears/swords that are near the bamboo, their metal attracts the lightning.
15 – Matsumae Bamboo Strike
