In Yotei Six you can make a camp anywhere in the wild. Here’s how you do it:
Call your horse with D-Pad Left, stand next to your horse and hold D-Pad Left to see the “Camp” prompt.
This will create a campfire. At camps you can do the following:
- Sleep to advance time until morning or night
- Cook a meal to get a passive buff
- Play Shamisen (a sort of ‘guitar’) to listen to some music
- Craft Ammo for your ranged weapons and quickfire weapons.
Playing the Shamisen while camping unlocks the Fireside Performance trophy. Sometimes you will also meet random NPCs who come to your camp, these can give useful rewards. A boy named Taro will gift you Taro’s Armor when you first meet him (he can also show up at other places). And a random man can appear at your camp to teach you a new Shamisen Song, so it’s good to camp from time to time. The overall most useful feature is cooking meals to get passive buffs, especially when playing at higher difficulties this helps.
