Drone Ranger is a side mission in Borderlands 4 (BL4). This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Drone Ranger Side Quest.
- Starting Location: The Fadefields > Idolator’s Noose
- Quest Giver: Ryley
- Unlock Requirement: Finished Side Mission Carried Away
- Reward: Money, XP
- Quest Description: These ARE the drones you’re looking for.
Objectives:
- Free surveyor drone
- Take surveyor to its target
Starting Location: Drone Ranger
After completing the first drone-related Side Mission Carried Away, it will spawn two follow-up missions Droning On and Drone Ranger.
Drone Ranger is found at the boarder between Idolator’s Noose & Dissected Plateau regions, slighty north from Wyclef’s Reprieve Safehouse.
Free surveyor drone
The drone is stuck behind a vent cover. Shoot or melee the cover so the drone falls out.
Take surveyor to its target
Pick up the drone and carry it to the quest marker, 450 meters south-west. Proceed on foot, as using a vehicle would drop the drone. If you drop it by accident you can pick it up again.
At the marked location you must place the drone on a grave, which you can reach over a wooden bridge. The drone drops some items and the quest completes a few seconds later.
This finishes Drone Ranger side mission in Borderlands 4. If you haven’t already, complete Droning On to finish the drone questline.
