Shadow of the Mountain is the 11th main mission in Borderlands 4 (BL4). This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Shadow of the Mountain Main Quest.

- Quest Description: Among the icy peaks of the Terminus mountains, a cruel (and appropriately named) scientist called Vile Lictor has one of the Command Bolts we need. Head into Kairos’s frozen north and enlist allies to help snatch it out of his vile mitts.

Starting Location: Shadow of the Mountain
Reach Terminus Range
Follow the marker to reach Terminus Range.
Reach Belton’s Bore
Follow it further to reach Belton’s Bore.
Kill Order forces
Once you reach the location, kill all enemies there.
Talk to Auger leaders
After killing all enemies, talk to the leaders nearby.
Find Defiant Calder
Follow the marker again to find Calder.
Kill Order forces
At the destination, kill all enemies to proceed.
Meet Defiant Calder
After killing the enemies, talk to Calder.
Follow Defiant Calder
Follow him to a nearby force field.
Hack force field
Interact with the computer to hack the field.
Enter Clavehome
Once the force field disappears, enter the location.
Reach Calder’s office & Take signal beacons
Follow the path inside to a big open room full of enemies. Kill some enemies until you can pick up the signal beacons, which will be marked on the screen.

The first signal beacon is near the pickup location on the bridge. Place it here.

Now, interact with the computer next to the beacon to hack it.

Cross the bridge and turn left to reach the second beacon. Place it here.

Interact with the computer next to the second beacon.

The force field is now gone, and you can continue. You can run past all enemies until you reach a seemingly dead end.
Then pull yourself up with the grappling hook to the first platform, from there get on the middle platform, and pull yourself up a second time.

As before, you have to place two beacons. The first one is to your left after you pull up.

Interact with the computer next to the beacon to hack it.

Then enter the open door near the beacon and follow the path to a room with the second beacon.

Then, interact with the computer next to the beacon to hack it.

Now go back to where the first beacon was and enter the now open door, and move forward until you reach a control room and press the button here.

Now cross the chamber.
Reach Calder’s office, Place first signal beacon & Place second signal beacon
You will reach another closed door, pull yourself up next to the door, and place the first beacon.

Interact with the computer next to the beacon.

Now jump back down and move forward, and you will see the second beacon above you. Pull yourself up after going under the structure with the second beacon.
Now jump over to the second beacon and place it.

Interact with the computer next to the beacon to hack it.

Go through the now-open door and follow the path until you reach a hole where you need to drop down.

After you drop down, you need to kill the big bird to proceed.

After killing the Kratch, go to Calder’s office.
Hack office door
Look above the door and press 
/ 
to hack it.
Take relic
Now you can enter the office and pick up the relic.
Return to Belton’s Bore
You can fast travel back to Belton’s Bore now.
Follow Calder
Follow Calder inside the hideout, which will trigger a cutscene.
Place Eridian relic
After the cutscene, place the relic at the entrance.
This finishes Shadow of the Mountain in Borderlands 4.
