Are you curious about how to complete the White-Robed Elder quest in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers? This venerable old warrior can be found in various locations, and he even has a task that he wants you to complete. That said, you must ensure that you're able to interact with him every step of the way. Our guide has all the details that you need, but be forewarned that there will be spoilers ahead.
How to complete the quest of the White-Robed Elder in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers
The White-Robed Elder can be found in over half a dozen locations throughout the campaign. Make sure you talk to him whenever you see him, as he provides hints and rewards. He can also be summoned for one of the toughest boss fights in the game, which should make that encounter more manageable.
White-Robed Elder location #1
Location: Shu Sanctum (Worship's Rise) - This will be your first meeting with the Wuchang: Fallen Feathers White-Robed Elder NPC. He's on the walkway on the second floor of Shu Sanctum.
Reward: 1x Plumed Branch
White-Robed Elder location #2
Location: Doomwillow Beach (Worship's Rise) - From the Shrine, follow the sloping path that leads to the top of one of the hills.
Reward: 1x Crystallized Red Mercury
White-Robed Elder location #3
Location: Cloudspire Outskirts - Climb the tower near the Shrine in this area. You should see him on the wooden walkway at the tower's exterior.
Reward: 1x Glistening Red Mercury
Note: You must go to the Cloudspire region first to have this interaction with the White-Robed Elder. If you mistakenly head into the cave that leads to Mt. Zhenwu--i.e. the fourth encounter--then he won't appear here anymore.
White-Robed Elder location #4
Location: Hillswatch (Cloudspire) - From the Hillswatch Shrine, cross the ravine and explore the mining cave to the right. The NPC is in one of the upper sections overlooking the path down below.
Reward: 1x Flawless Red Mercury
White-Robed Elder location #5
Location: Refugee Camp (Mt. Zhenwu) - Exit the cave and traverse Battlefield Pass. You'll eventually reach the Refugee Camp. This gentleman is on the plateau opposite the camp itself.
Reward: N/A - He'll ask you to help him take out a demon. Choose to "agree" with the proposal to continue the quest.
White-Robed Elder location #6 and Bo Sorcerer boss fight
Location: Avian Marsh/Dwelling (Mt. Zhenwu) - Continue through the Avian Marsh area until you get past the eerie chamber with the Lantern-wielding Monk and the Manna Vase chest. Once you're back in the forest, you should see this fella waiting for you by a clearing.
Reward: N/A
After talking to the Wuchang: Fallen Feathers White-Robed Elder NPC, follow the looping path around the avian village until you're able to create a shortcut to the Avian Dwelling Shrine. Then, continue along the main path to the end, which leads to the Bo Sorcerer boss fight.
Make no mistake, the Bo Sorcerer is one of the toughest bosses in the game. She has blindingly fast attacks that are deadly regardless of her range. The good news is that you'll be able to summon the White-Robed Elder during the battle. Simply use the Bone Whistle item as soon as the bout begins to make him appear. He should be able to distract your foe frequently, which significantly lowers the difficulty level of the encounter.
White-Robed Elder location #7
Location: Avian Dwelling/Tomb - After defeating the Bo Sorcerer, head to the unbelievably gorgeous Tomb area. It's just across from the Avian Dwelling Shrine--i.e. a Bamboozling/Bamboo Shoot even appears as you're crossing the giant tree trunk bridge. The distinguished warrior will be waiting for you at the opposite end of the field.
Reward: Tigraliz Pendant
