Pavilion of Knowledge is the 6th shrine in Mt. Zhenwu region. This guide series covers all trophy/achievement relevant items, collectibles, NPC questlines, and bosses to get Platinum & 1000 Gamerscore in one playthrough. There are other non-unique items, all of which can be bought from merchants later in the game (consumables, feathers for weapon upgrades, armor dropped by enemies), and benedictions which aren’t relevant for trophies. Everything becomes missable as the story progresses, especially NPC interactions must be done at the earliest opportunity. This guide is intended for use during the story, if doing anything out of order it can fail questlines and their associated rewards.

How to reach Pavilion of Knowledge: on story path, after beating the main boss “South General – Liu Wenxiu”, you will go through a tower with moving bridges. After going through the towers you will enter a cave where you find the Storyteller and this shrine, can’t miss it.
Mt. Zhenwu – Pavilion of Knowledge
NPC: Storyteller
At the top of the stairs in the room with the shrine. Can say “Why have you come?” > “Heed the warning” -or- “Ignore the advice”. To advance the dialogue must pick “Heed the warning”. If you say “Ignore the advice” you can talk again and still pick the other option. Exhausting dialogue gives a Bamboo Shoot.
Zhenwu Temple Scriptures (Quest Item)
On a shelf in the room to the left of the Storyteller. Can be taken to Xuanyangzi in the Reverent Temple. Gives 3x Special Pill.
Weapon: Cinder Dragoncoil (Axe)
In the small chest left of the shelf with the prior item.
NPC: Plain Warrioress
After the shrine go through the next temple, then she will stand on the main path while walking along wooden platforms. Exhaust her dialogue (gives 1x Plumed Branch).
Shrine: Mt. Zhenwu – Altar Gate
Follow the wooden platforms up past the cannon shooting enemies.
