There are 10 Lost Remains in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers. They are used to upgrade the amount healed by health flask use (also called Manna Vase). You must find all of them for the Surging Manna trophy & achievement.
They are found in big golden chests. Use them in the left skill tree branch, accessed from any shrine.
Everything in the first region Worship’s Rise is missable. This region becomes unavailable after talking to the Storyteller in Region 3: Mt. Zhenwu – Zhenwu Altar. They do carry over into New Game+, the chests you already found can be opened again but give weapon upgrade materials in New Game+.
To get all collectible types and trophies in one playthrough, follow our guide by area:

Lost Remains Locations
Lost Remains #1
Worship’s Rise – Lightzen Temple
Enter the area in front of the shrine to a courtyard where a monk feeds on a corpse. On the right side you’ll see a big golden chest, open it.
Lost Remains #2
Worship’s Rise – Mercury Workshop
To the left of this shrine, go onto the red tree, then reach the very bottom of the area below the tree. After walking past some screamer pod enemies, you will find this on the altar below the tree, together with a pendant.
Lost Remains #3
Worship’s Rise – Palace Hill
From Palace Hill shrine, turn around and climb back the ladder on the way you came. Enter the big temple building to which the ladder is attached. Inside you find another version of Tang Palace Maid boss. After defeating her, open the golden chest in the boss room.
Lost Remains #4
Cloudspire – Snowy Passage
In the courtyard after the shrine, go up the left path and check the big tent where a giant enemy with a shield is. Open the golden chest in the tent.
Lost Remains #5
Cloudspire – Shaft Entrance
Go back to the Shaft Entrance shrine, take the left path over the bridge with the two swinging clubs to reach the first rolling boulder hallway. After two boulders roll down, drop off the ledge where the boulders rolled to reach the room where the chest is located. This is also a shortcut that lets you skip the whole Shaft area.
Lost Remains #6
Mt. Zhenwu – Battlefield Pass
From the shrine turn right and take the left path until you go through a blood-filled cave that causes Despair buildup and a summoner enemy casting spells on the side. In this cave, take the right exit where you see a wooden fence / balcony platform. On there you find the golden chest.
Lost Remains #7
Mt. Zhenwu – Avian Marsh
After the above golden chest, leave the area with the Despair summoners, you’ll go back outside and through a little tree village. After the tree village there’s a shortcut ladder on the left that leads back to the shrine, ignore it. Keep following the path into the next tree hollow, there climb up the ladder. It leads to an area with two scared humans on the right (also a tree you can kick down to make a shortcut to Avian Dwelling shrine). At the two scared humans, take the right path, there is a ladder on the left leading down into a tree. At the bottom is the golden chest. This is the main path to Bo Sorcerer boss, so you’ll automatically walk past this ladder.
Lost Remains #8
Mt. Zhenwu – Zhenwu Antechamber
From the above location, continue to the next tower, then go downstairs, then down the ladder. This leads to the area behind the bars where you were able to see a golden chest earlier.
Lost Remains #9
Worship’s Rise in Ruins – Burning Cave
Immediately after the shrine you enter the cave where the game started. On the right side is the chest, before a boss fight.
