There are 6 Inner Demons in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers. You must defeat all Bamboozlings in a single playthrough for the Quelling Madness trophy & achievement.
They are special demon enemies that drop the Bo Blood upgrade items. Some of them also drop Needles, which can be equipped in the Temper menu at shrines. The demons that spawn when you die at maximum madness don’t count for the trophy. You have to defeat 6 specific ones that spawn in fixed locations throughout the game. The last one of them spawns in the 3rd region Mt. Zhenwu.
The inner demons in the first region Worship’s Rise are all missable. This region becomes unavailable after talking to the Storyteller in Region 3: Mt. Zhenwu – Zhenwu Altar. They don’t carry over into New Game+.

Inner Demon Locations
Inner Demon #1: Bo Blood & Shadow Stone Needle – Agility (Gleaming Stone Needle in NG+)
Worship’s Rise – Annalum
To the right of the Annalum shrine, go through the courtyard, in the back left corner go down the path. The demon will spawn in front of a pagoda and a small chest containing a Jade Pendant.
Inner Demon #2: Bo Blood + Shadow Stone Needle – Strength
Worship’s Rise – Lu Mansion
Next to this shrine, take the elevator down and you’ll see 2 tree-type enemies in front of you. When you approach them, a demon will spawn.
Inner Demon #3: Bo Blood
Cloudspire – Cloudspire Outskirts
From Cloudspire Outskirts shrine, turn around, go straight forward and take the snowy path leading uphill on the right. At the end of the path enter the little building and climb the short ladder to reach the area with the second corruption pillar (spawns exploding enemies). Here take the left path, past enemies shooting a cannon at you. After the cannon keep going straight until you reach a burning house, the demon spawns there.
Inner Demon #4: Bo Blood + Shadow Stone Needle – Feathering
Cloudspire – Snowfall Palace
From Snowfall Palace shrine, go up the big staircase in the middle of the area. Then take the right path and go through the building until you reach a room with an archer enemy. This room has an elevator that’s activated via a pressure plate on the floor. There’s a secret area below the elevator. First, make the elevator go up. Then make the elevator go down by standing on the pressure plate in the middle of the elevator. This will transport you into a secret treasure room below. In the corner you find a little chest that contains a weapon, and an inner demon will spawn in the same place. This is one of the best hidden demons, if you’re missing one it’s likely this one.
Inner Demon #5: Bo Blood + Plumed Stoned Needle – Temper
Mt. Zhenwu – Refugee Camp
From Refugee camp shrine, take the exit to the swampy area where a bird enemy is. Behind the bird enemy go to the back of the swampy area to spawn a demon.
Inner Demon #6: Bo Blood + Root Stone Needle – Status
Mt. Zhenwu – Avian Marsh
From the shrine stick to the left of the area up the slope left of the big clam enemy. Follow the tree to the grey burnt branch with an item on it before a summoner enemy. Pick up the item to be dropped into a lower area where the last Inner Demon will spawn. This is the second best hidden demon, so if you’re missing one this is a location to recheck. If you already picked up the item the branch may be gone, but you can still drop down in the same place before the summoner enemy.
After defeating the 6th inner demon you unlock 
Quelling Madness trophy/achievement. However, you will still be missing 2 Bo Blood to fully max out the skill upgrades, which come from bosses.
Remaining 2 Bo Blood Locations
The last 2 Bo Blood are rewards for defeating the bosses “Nightmare Demon” in the 4th region and “Demon of Obsession” in the 5th region.
