Wuchang Fallen Feathers has 18 questlines throughout the game. 10 of the quests are required to be progressed for trophies/achievements, with the rest being extra that give either consumables or other items not required for trophies/achievements.
Interacting with questline characters is required to unlock all 4 endings, along with the following trophies:
- Legendary Collector
– Acquire all weapons - Pendant Gatherer – Find all jade pendants
- Eternal Glory – Zhao Yun – Defeat Eternal Glory – Zhao Yun
- Demon of Obsession – Defeat Demon of Obsession
- Well Traveled
– Fully unlock all of Tao Qing’s stock - Radiant Faith – Activate every single Shrine
Questlines are progressed by interacting with characters in the world, along with sometimes giving them specific items that can be obtained by defeating enemies or found in the environment. Some characters can be summoned for help in specific boss fights if you progress their questline to the correct points.
Typically when a character has a new interaction to progress their questline they will appear in the fast travel menu with a picture of their face on the shrine where they are located. Characters require you to interact with them at ALL locations, and missing an interaction then beating the next boss or final region boss will lock you out of further progressing their questline.

NPC Questlines needed for Trophies/Achievements
These questlines are related to items or interactions required for trophies/achievements. Unless otherwise stated quest steps are required to progress, and if a step is missed it will likely prevent you from progressing their questline, as the character will disappear from the game for the current playthrough.
He Youzai
He Youzai is an important friend of the main character, and appears throughout the game at various points and suggests you do certain things or go to certain locations.
Interaction #1 – Worship’s Rise – Reverent Temple
From the Reverent Temple follow the path down towards the river, on the left side of the path you’ll see He Youzai. Exhaust his dialogue to receive 1x Cornucopia Elixir and the Bamboo Lantern, which is permanent consumable you can use for increased light in dark area.
Every interaction with He Youzai he generally gives a Cornucopia Elixir, so they won’t be listed again.
Key Item: Lost Package – Worship’s Rise – Buddha Cliffs
After the Buddha Cliffs shrine you enter a cave where you fight the boss Tang Palace Maid. Continue out the top exit of the room to progress and just outside the cave in the grass you can find the item Lost Package sitting in the grass. This is given to He Youzai later.
Interaction #2 – Worship’s Rise – Bandit Cave
After defeating the boss Blightweaver – Great Centipede continue out the next area follow the path out of the area. Once you reach the burnt forest area before the Doomwillow Beach shrine you can find He Youzai standing on the left of the path. Giving him the Lost Package causes him to give you the item Records of the Southern Achipelago.
Interaction #3 – Worship’s Rise – Reverent Temple
After defeating the boss Commander – Honglan and being warped back to Reverent Temple, He Youzai can be on the ground floor before exiting the building. Here he gives 1 x Everblend Brew and 1 x Cured Jerky (consumables).
Interaction #4 – Cloudspire – Snowpeak Pass
After defeating the boss Ming General – Liu Cheng’en continue into the castle area and through the buildings required to progress. He Youzai will be in the building with all the pinwheels nearby as you continue along the main path.
Key Item: Mad Doctor’s Research Note – Cloudspire – Shaft Entrance
While progressing through the shaft area on the normal path you will come to a room with what looks like an altar in the center (if you interacted with Glut and told him to return to his Master he will appear in this room with an enemy wearing white robes). Under the balcony you enter the room from you can find the Mad Doctor’s Research Note sitting on a table.
Interaction #4 – Cloudspire – Shaft Entrance
Along the main path when you reach the outdoor area immediately before the Bride’s Boudoir shrine, you can find He Youzai on the right of the bridge. Interact with him to show him the Mad Doctor’s Research Note.
Interaction #5 – Mt. Zhenwu – Battlefield Pass
After going through the Battlefield Pass area you can find He Youzai near a fire right when you enter the Refugee Camp area. Fang Yao will also be nearby if you have progressed her questline correctly.
Interaction #6 – Mt. Zhenwu – Bai Mansion
After progressing through all of Mt. Zhenwu and beating the boss Fierce Tiger/Sovereign – Zhang Xianzhong you can reach the Ferry Overlook shrine (after going through the cave near the Storyteller, you must ignore him for this interaction). Take the boat to Bai Mansion, then He Youzai will be left of the shrine. If he is here you can then summon him for the optional boss Monstrous Toddler – Bai Kru.
Interaction #7 – Mt. Zhenwu – Bai Mansion
After beating the boss (whether you summoned him or not) you can speak with him in the same spot again to show him Research Journal – Scrap 2 which was rewarded after beating the boss.
Interaction #8 – Worship’s Rise in Ruins – Annalum
After be transported to Annalum you can find He Youzai standing beside the building you exit. Fang Yao wil be beside him if you have progressed her questline correctly.

Fang Yao
Fang Yao is an important character who is related to He Youzai.
Key Item: Shu Silk Scarf – Cloudspire – Hillswatch
In the village take the first path on the left where there is a shortcut ladder back to the Hillswatch shrine and a blue interaction spot past a doorway dialogue. Use the Examine emote to obtain this item.
Interaction #1 – Cloudspire – Snowpeak Pass
When entering the city area there is a door on the left with a red bag enemy just before the next shrine. Interact with the door and give her the Shu Silk Scarf.
Interaction #2 – Cloudspire – Shaft Entrance
Fang Yao will be sitting right next to the shrine. Speak with her and choose the dialogue option “Agree to help”.
Interaction #3 – Cloudspire – Wedding Hall
After beating Fang Ling, rest at the shrine to make her appear. She will then be sitting to the left of the shrine on the floor.
Interaction #4 – Mt. Zhenwu – Battlefield Pass
When entering the Refugee Camp area on the left you can find Fang Yao sitting by the fire where He Youzai will also be located.
Interaction #5 – Worship’s Rise in Ruins – Annalum
When you appear in the area she is standing outside the building you walk out of, beside He Youzai.

Red-Clad Lady
The Red-Clad Lady is an important character who appears at a few points throughout the game, and then is fought as an optional boss in the fourth region.
Interaction #1 – Worship’s Rise – Reverent Temple
Follow the path past where you could interact with He Youzai and she will be sitting on the left near the area with the wooden platforms. Speak to her to receive 1x Full-Grown Red Mercury.
Interaction #2 – Worship’s Rise – Lu Mansion
From the shrine, take the elevator down and follow the path forward until you can knock down a pillar to create a shortcut. On the other side you find the Red-Clad Lady casting a spell on a tree.
Interaction #3 – Mt. Zhenwu – Avian Dwelling
Directly beside the shrine, respond with “I agree” to receive the Spell “Divine Blessing”.
Nian Suichang
Nian Suichang is a character that appears throughout the game, and can be summoned for three bosses if you correctly progress his questline. Completing his questline rewards a weapon required for Legendary Collector. Depending on the choice you make in Interaction #8 you might have to fight him to receive the weapon.
Interaction #1 – Worship’s Rise – Lightzen Temple
Follow the path out of the locked door after the boss and you’ll find him by a tree on the right side of the path just before the village area. Gives you the gesture “Well Met” + Bone Whistle (allows you to call allies during certain battles).
Interaction #2 – Worship’s Rise – Shu Sanctum
Stands next to the shrine, if you already talked to him along the path earlier he doesn’t have anything new to say. You can summon Suichang for the next boss fight.
Key Item: Mercurial Blood – Worship’s Rise – Shu Sanctum
Automatic drop from boss Feathered Priest – Lu Bingzhang located on the top floor of Shu Sanctum.
Interaction #3 – Worship’s Rise – Shu Sanctum
After defeating Feathered Priest – Lu Bingzhang speak with Suichang again by the shrine and give him the Mercurial Blood.
Interaction #4 – Worship’s Rise – Shu Sanctum
After defeating Feathered Priest – Lu Bingzhang go back and speak with Suichang again to give him the Mercurial Blood.
Interaction #5 – Worship’s Rise – Reverent Temple
After giving the Mercurial Blood, you can return to the Reverent Temple and speak with Suichang by the injured man inside, who he has fed the Mercurial Blood to.
Interaction #6 – Worship’s Rise – Reverent Temple
After defeating the boss Commander – Honglan and you are automatically taken back to the Reverent Temple, you can go outside into the courtyard and speak to Suichang by the door that you can now open. You can speak to him twice, once before unlocking the door and once after. If you didn’t give him the Mercurial Blood earlier he won’t appear again after this point.
Interaction #7 – Cloudspire – Hillswatch
Go through the village after the shrine and you can find Suichang sitting on the right side of the path before the tower.
Key Item: Tattered Pack – Cloudspire – Hillswatch
After walking through the tower where the two other NPCs are located you, go to the enemy on the path ahead and you can pick up the Tattered Pack from the grass to the left of where they are standing.
Interaction #8 – Cloudspire – Hillswatch
Go back to Suichang before the tower to give him the Tattered Pack. You then get a dialogue choice here that determines what happens at the end his questline in Interaction #13.
- If you choose “Expose Nian Suichang” you will receive the Sorry emote, and will need to fight him at the end his questline to receive his weapon.
- If you choose “Remain Silent” you won’t need to fight him at the end of his questline, but won’t receive the emote. He is a tough enemy and the emote doesn’t matter for any trophy/achievement, so this is the easier option to pick if you don’t want to fight him.
Interaction #9 – Cloudspire – Rebel Camp
Suichang will be standing on the left just before the door to the boss arena. You can summon for the boss fight, then speak with him again after to receive 3 x Special Pills.
Interaction #10 – Mt. Zhenwu – Refugee Camp
At the Refugee Camp Suichang will be sitting by the fire in the area with Magalhaes and the two vendors. If you pick the option “Remain Silent” he will move to a different spot in the Refugee Camp that you can’t access yet.
Interaction #11 – Mt. Zhenwu – Refugee Camp
After defeating the Bo Sorcerer, walk out the path from the back of the boss arena and take two rights to find a shortcut back into the Refugee Camp near the vendors. Suichang will be standing just before the bridge leading to the shortcut door.
Interaction #11 – Mt. Zhenwu – Zhenwu Antechamber
After defeating South General – Liu Wenxiu follow the scaffolding up and take the path left back toward the Refugee Camp where you can open a shortcut door. Suichang will be standing just before the door looking at the boss room. You can then summon him for the next boss Fierce Tiger / Sovereign – Zhang Xianzhong.
Interaction #12 – Mt. Zhenwu – Zhenwu Altar
After the boss follow the path out the back of the area to a cave where you can find the Storyteller. If you’ve already defeated Perfect Bridge – Fang Ling he will be standing by the nearby fire. If you came to Mt. Zhenwu first he won’t be present until you defeat that boss and come back.
Interaction #13 – Worship’s Rise in Ruin – Shu Sanctum
From the shrine take the path upstairs then to the right up to the top of the cliff. Depending on your choice in Interaction #8.
- If you chose “Expose Nian Suichang” then he will appear by the statue as a red-eyed enemy and you must defeat him to make him drop the Zhanlu Sword.
- If you chose “Stay Silent” then he will be sitting on the cliff edge. Speak to him, then Enter the Dream at a shrine and come back to the same spot to find the Zhanlu Sword sitting on the ground.
Xuanyangzi
Xuanyangzi is a character that typically is located at the Reverent Temple, but appears a few other locations throughout the game.
Interaction #1 – Worship’s Rise – Shu Sanctum
From Shu Sanctum you can take the shortcut bridge that leads from the location of the boss Gluttonous Monstrosity – Lu Hongliu. Go up the cliff path and then to the right down the platforms to the location of the blocked tunnel. Xuanyangzi in to the right in the small building and gives 3 x Purple Camellia.
Interaction #2 – Worship’s Rise – Reverent Temple
After reaching the Worship’s Rise – Doomwillow Beach shrine you can return to Reverent Temple and speak with Xuanyangzi to receive 5 x Steamed Bunny Bun.
Interaction #3 – Worship’s Rise – Corpse Pits
After defeating the boss Reborn Treant – Soulwood follow the path out of the area to the bamboo forest. Xuanyangzi will be on the other side of the wooden bridge and gives 3 x Fixed Origin Pills.
Interaction #4 – Worship’s Rise – Reverent Temple
After being taken back to Reverent Temple after defeating the boss Commander – Honglan you can speak with Xuanyangzi to receive a Growing Red Mercury.
Key Item: Mad Doctor’s Research Note – Cloudspire – Shaft Entrance

After picking up the Zhenwu Temple Scriptures you can return to Reverent Temple and show them to Xuanyangzi to receive a Red Blood consumable.
Interaction #8 – Worship’s Rise – Reverent Temple
After reaching the shrine Mt. Zhenwu – Ferry Overlook you can return to Reverent Temple and speak with Xuanyangzi to receive a Blood of Changhong.
Interaction #9 – Worship’s Rise – Reverent Temple
After defeating the boss Monstrous Toddler – Bai Kru you can return to Reverent Temple and speak with Xuanyangzi to receive a Blood of Wangdi.

Boatman
The Boatman is a mysterious character who appears at various points during the game, and is required to be interacted with to receive one weapon for Legendary Collector.
Interaction #1 – Worship’s Rise – Reverent Temple
At the start of the game in the Reverent Temple courtyard area you need to interact with the Boatman to progress. After you do you are transported to an area where you fight two enemies, followed by the tutorial boss Bai Kru. Beating the boss isn’t optional, but if you beat it you receive 5 x Red Mercury Essence.
Interaction #2 – Worship’s Rise – Corpse Pits
Once in the Tang Emperor Palace area you can find the first riddle door of the game before the optional boss Tang Palace Maid. If you answer the door incorrectly (correct answer is “The winged ascension”) you will be teleported into the Garden area on the opposite side of the Tang Palace Maid boss room. In the garden you can find the Boatman digging a hole.
Interaction #3 – Mt. Zhenwu – Ferry Overlook
At the ferry overlook you can find the Boatman sitting on the dock near the boat that takes you to the Bai Mansion optional area.
Interaction #4 – Mt. Zhenwu – Ferry Overlook
After defeating the boss Monstrous Toddler – Bai Kru in Bai Mansion, return to the Boatman at the Ferry Overlook an speak to him to receive the weapon Li Jiao’s Fang.
Interaction #5 – Worship’s Rise in Ruins – Palace Pass
After defeating the boss Vermillion Feathers – Honglan and interacting to the door, you will be teleported to a new area. Right beside where you appear before proceeding to the next shrine you can speak with the Boatman to receive a Blood of Changdong.

Storyteller
The Storyteller is a mysterious character who appears throughout the game, helping you progress to certain areas.
Interaction #1 – Worship’s Rise – Lightzen Temple
After exiting the Lightzen Temple area and passing where Nian Suichang stands, follow the path all the way to the end to a cave where you can find the Storyteller sitting in the middle of the room. Speak to him to receive a Bamboo Shoot.
Interaction #2 – Cloudspire – Bride’s Boudoir
After progressing through the Bride’s Boudoir area you can find the Storyteller sitting near the elevator leading back to the Shaft Entrance shrine, right before the bridge that drops you into the boss room.
Interaction #3 – Cloudspire – Wedding Hall
After defeating the boss Perfect Bridge – Fang Ling you can Enter the Dream at the shrine and the Storyteller will appear to the right. Speak to him and he will transport you to the entrance to the cave leading to Mt. Zhenwu.
Interaction #4 – Mt. Zhenwu – Pavilion of Knowledge
In the room with the shrine go up to the second floor and the Storyteller is sitting on the ground to the left of the exit. Pick “Heed the warning” to continue through all of his dialogue and receive a Bamboo Shoot.
Interaction #5 – Mt. Zhenwu – Zhenwu Altar
After the boss follow the path out the back of the area to a cave where you can find the Storyteller. Speaking to him is required to progress to the fourth region of the game, but doing so will lock you out of the Worship’s Rise area and causes you to miss the NPC interactions in Ferry Overlook and Bai Mansion, along with the optional boss. Make sure you have done everything you need to do in the current playthrough before proceed through his dialogue. When you are ready to progress, speak with him and choose “Continue forward” followed by “I press ever onward”.

Li Dingo & Sun Kewang
Li Dingo and Sun Kewang are rebels who can be interacted with in a few locations. You must complete all interactions with Li Dingo to receive a weapon for Legendary Collector.
Interaction #1 – Cloudspire – Hillswatch
Proceed through the Hillswatch village area and on the other side of the stone tower you can find Li Dingo and Sun Kewang sitting by a fire. Speak with them both.
Key Item: Secret Letter – Mt. Zhenwu – Avian Marsh
While progressing through the Avian Marsh area you will enter a tree hollow with two of the humanoid bird enemies standing inside. On the right side of the room just before the enemies you can pick up the Secret Letter.
Interaction #2 – Mt. Zhenwu – Zhenwu Antechamber
Directly left of the shrine you can find Li Dingo by himself on the floor. Interact with him twice to give him the Secret Letter.
Interaction #3 – Mt. Zhenwu – Ferry Overlook
On the ferry overlook you can find both Li Dingo and Sun Kewang standing on the left path of the dock. Interact with them both, then Enter the Dream at a shrine and come back to where Li Dingo was standing to pick up the weapon Serpent Fang.
Honglan
Honglan is a character who you will fight as a boss twice during the game, and has an NPC interaction that is required to obtain a Jade Pendant required for Pendant Gatherer.
Interaction #1 – Cloudspire – Bride’s Boudoir
After the large enemy in Bride’s Boudoir you can find Honglan sitting in a cage on the right.
Key Item: Dungeon Key – Cloudspire – Bride’s Boudoir
Walk into the next room after Honglan’s cage and kill the first enemy wearing red to receive the Dungeon Key.
Interaction #2 – Cloudspire – Bride’s Boudoir
Go back and speak to Honglan in the cage again and give her the key to receive the Coiled Dragon Pendant.
White-Robed Elder (Zhao Yun)
The White-Robed Elder is a character who you can interact with a few times through the game.
Interaction #1 – Worship’s Rise – Shu Sanctum
On the second floor of the building, on the balcony left of the old woman looking at the shrine. Gives a Plumed Branch when spoken to.
Interaction #2 – Worship’s Rise – Doomwill Beach
From the shrine turn around and take the path leading uphill slightly to your right. Take the next left to find the White-Robed Elder.
Interaction #3 – Cloudspire – Cloudspire Outskirts
From Cloudspire Outskirts shrine, turn around and enter the tall building on the right. Behind this building (outside) climb the ladders to the second level where the White Robed Elder is standing. He’ll give a hint about lighting the signal fires in the area.
Interaction #4 – Cloudspire – Hillswatch
From the shrine take the right path through the breakable objects to reach the cave leading to Mt. Zhenwu. Stick to the right where the path splits to find the White-Robed Elder in a dead end.
Interaction #4 – Mt. Zhenwu – Refugee Camp
After entering the Refugee Camp the White-Robed Elder is on the left before bridge, near the ladder leading down in the Avian forest area. Speak to him and choose “Agree”. This must be done so that he is summonable later for the Bo Sorcerer boss, and to progress his questline. Doing this doesn’t prevent you from any other actions, but not agreeing prevents him from being summonable and doesn’t allow you to progress his questline to the end.
Interaction #5 – Mt. Zhenwu – Avian Marsh
After exiting the cave with the enemy on the central platform, you can find the Elder on the right side of the path just before you can kick down a shortcut leading back to the Avian Dwelling shrine. You can then summon him for the next boss Bo Sorcerer.

NPC Questlines not needed for Trophies/Achievements
Qiao Lin & Qiao Ling
Qiao Lin and Qiao Ling are family members who appear a few times throughout the game, and give some consumables for interacting with them at various points.
Interaction #1 – Worship’s Rise – Reverent Temple
On the second floor of Reverent Temple where you receive the cutscene you can interact with Qiao Lin who is lying on the floor to receive a Peachwood Amulet.
Interaction #2 – Worship’s Rise – Shu Sanctum
On the second floor of Shu Sanctum you can interact with the old woman looking at the shrine in the middle of the building. Give her the Peachwood Amulet to receive a Divine Gift.
Interaction #3 – Worship’s Rise – Shu Sanctum
After defeating the boss Gluttonous Monstrosity – Lu Hongliu you can speak to her again and choose to give her the White Jade Dumpling that was dropped by the boss.
Interaction #4 – Cloudspire – Hillswatch
To the right of the Hillswatch shrine you can find Qiao Ling. Interact with her and give her a Steamed Bunny Bun to receive 5 x Divination Crescents.
Interaction #5 – Cloudspire – Snowy Passage
Follow the left path, then you can open the front door of a house on the right once you reach the area with the first corruption pillar. Go upstairs to find the Qiao Ling there. Agree to help her and you’ll receive the Bamboo Tube, which hints at lighting the signal fires on top of the towers.
Interaction #6 – Cloudspire – Snowy Passage
After defeating the boss General of the North – Ai Nengqi you can return to Qiao Ling in the building and choose “Give her news of Ai Nenqgi”, then give her the second White Jade Dumpling which was dropped by the boss.
Young Boy
The Young Boy is found near Reverent Temple, and can be interacted with a couple of times.
Interaction #1 – Worship’s Rise – Reverent Temple
When exiting Reverent Temple for the first time take an immediate right up the path just outside the gate you exit the courtyard from. At the top you can interact with the Boy behind the fenced off area.
Interaction #2 – Worship’s Rise – Reverent Temple
When exiting Reverent Temple for the first time take an immediate right up the path just outside the gate you exit the courtyard from. At the top you can interact with the Boy behind the fenced off area.

After reaching the Refugee Camp in Mt. Zhenwu you can return to the Boy at Reverent Temple for a small interaction. He will make pained noises when you go near him, but won’t have any further interaction.
Child in the Jar
Child in the Jar is a mysterious child you can interact with and give some items throughout the game.
Key Item: Dough Figurine of Mu Guiying – Worship’s Rise – Lightzen Temple
From the shrine turn around and go straight toward the pair of enemies standing by the building. On the ground near them you can pick up this unique consumable.
Interaction #1 – Worship’s Rise – Lightzen Temple
Follow the past out of Lightzen Temple past where you can find Nian Suichang. Stick on the right path, then go in the first house to find the Child in the Jar. Interact with them and give them the Dough Figurine of Mu Guiying to receive the emote Draw Circle.
Key Item: Bloodied Steamed Bunny Bun – Mt. Zhenwu – Battlefield Pass
From the shrine go to the left, then take the second left where the enemy standing on the rooftop is. Take the right at the end of the house to find this on the ground near an enemy.
Interaction #2 – Mt. Zhenwu – Refugee Camp
In the Refugee Camp you can find the Child in the Jar just across the bridge after where the White-Hair Elder is found. Speak to them and give them the Bloodied Steamed Bunny Bun. Enter the Dream at a shrine then come back to the same spot to pick up the Tattered Paper.
Interaction #3 – Mt. Zhenwu – Refugee Camp
After defeating the Bo Sorcerer and coming up the path into the Refugee Camp leading to the shortcut door, you can find the Child in the Jar standing by a campfire near the bridge leading to the door. To fully interact with them, go into the camp near Magalhaes where there will be some automatic dialogue with people in tents about a boat. Go back to the Child in the Jar and interact with them for a dialogue choice.
- Picking “Tell of the boat waiting at the dock” will cause the child to give you 3 x Full Grown Red Mercury and move to the next location.
- Picking “Keep quite about the boat at the dock” will cause the child to disappear after Entering the Dream at a shrine, leaving behind the Ceramic Jar helmet and the Dough Figurine you gave them earlier.
Interaction #4 – Mt. Zhenwu – Ferry Overlook
If you told the child about the boat you can find them near the end of the left side of the dock. Speak to them to receive a Bamboo Shoot. You can Enter the Dream at a shrine them come back to the same spot to pick up the Ceramic Jar helmet.
Huang Jian’e
Huang Jian’e is a woman who you can interact with starting in Shu Sanctum, with successfully completing her questline allowing you to summon her for the last main boss in the third region and then receive her armor.
Interaction #1 – Worship’s Rise – Shu Sanctum
Jian’e is standing on the main floor of Shu Sanctum between the two merchants. Speak with her once to receive the Zhenwu Hairpin headgear item.
Interaction #2 – Worship’s Rise – Shu Sanctum
After defeating the boss Gluttonous Monstrosity – Lu Hongliu speak with Jian’e again to give her the Trinity Bell dropped by the boss. Enter the Dream at the shrine then speak with her again to receive a Recovery Pill and cause her to move to the next location.
Interaction #3 – Cloudspire – Snowy Passage
From the shrine stick to the left and go through the gate into the village area. Keep going left to find Jian’e standing in a house. Speak with her to receive the Zhenwu Tome item.
Interaction #4 – Cloudspire – Snowpeak Pass/Snowfall Palace
You now need to interact with the character Li Wansan to get the next item for Jian’e. Depending on what you do related to the boss General of the North – Ai Nengqi he is in two different spots.
- If you fought Ai Nengqi then Wansan will be along the path leading to the Cloudspire City area, just after where He Youzai is located. Speak to him to give him the Zhenwu Tome and receive the Red Mercury Crystal item.
- If you skipped Ai Nengqi by lighting all three signal fires to open the gate leading to the boss Ming General – Liu Cheng’en, then Wansan will be located before the palace steps by the Snowfall Palace shrine. He will attack you as you get close to him, so you need to defeat him to receive the Red Mercury Crystal along with his armor set.
Interaction #5 – Cloudspire – Snowy Passage
Return to Jian’e in the house by the Snowy Passage shrine and give her the Red Mercury Crystal to receive a Radiant Red Feather and a Fixed Origin Pill.
Interaction #6 – Mt. Zhenwu – Zhenwu Antechamber
While progressing through the temple buildings you will encounter Jian’e sitting on the floor at the bottom of a set of stairs on the main path. Speak to her to receive a Fixed Origin Pill. After speaking with her you can then summon her for the boss Fierce Tiger along with Nian Suichang if you also completed his quest.
Interaction #7 – Mt. Zhenwu – Zhenwu Altar
After defeating the boss, Enter the Dream at the shrine and you can find Jian’e lying on the ground to the left of the exit of the area. Speak with her, then Enter the Dream at the shrine again and she will disappear and leave behind her armor set on the ground.
Magalhaes & Buglio
Magalhaes and Buglio are a pair of christian missonaries who can be interacted with in a few locations. Interactions with Magalhaes allow you to receive a unique consumable that can only be received from him.
Key Item: Medicine Case – Mt. Zhenwu – Battlefield Pass
After going through the Battlefield Pass area you can interact with a white spot on the right of the path just before entering the Refugee Camp (the area with the summoner enemy that is looking at a gravestone) to receive the Medicine Case.
Interaction #1 – Mt. Zhenwu – Refugee Camp
In the Refugee Camp you can find Magalhaes to the right of the shrine. Pick “Agree” in his dialogue to receive the Pray emote. Speak with him again to give him the Medicine Case and receive an Arnica Ointment.
Interaction #2 – Mt. Zhenwu – Avian Dwelling
After the Bo Sorcerer boss fight follow the path out the back to the right, then up into the cave to find Buglio. You can speak with him and choose whichever response you want, he responds the same. He will also move to the next location regardless of whether you talk to him here or not.
Interaction #3 + Key Item: Sacred Token – Mt. Zhenwu – Altar Gate
Just before the door leading to the next boss you can find Buglio lying on the ground look at the door. Just before him on the stairs you can find the Sacred Token item.
Interaction #4 – Mt. Zhenwu – Refugee Camp
Return to the Refugee Camp and speak with Magalhaes to give him the Sacred Token you picked up to receive another Arnica Ointment.
Interaction #5 – Worship’s Rise in Ruins – Annalum
Standing to the right of the Annalum shrine. Speak with him to receive a final Arnica Ointment.
Interaction #6 – Worship’s Rise in Ruins – Palace Vegetable Garden
In the garden area (accessed with the Benediction gate in the Palace) you can find Magalhaes lying in a hole in the ground near the fence.
Yonder Ging (Children Gang in Cloudspire)
In Cloudspire Palace there are a set of characters you can interact with that have a long intertwined questline. These are the butler Shen Yangping, the yonder gang of kids Shen Jiang’an, Matchstick, and Glut, and finally the madam Huang Yan. You can receive a few different armor items from them depending on how they are interacted with.
Interaction #1 – Cloudspire – Cloudspire City
In the city area after you open the door leading back to the shrine, follow the path behind the buildings and up the ladders to find the butler Shen Yangping. Speak to him and choose “Agree to help” to find the wedding attire he is looking for.
Interaction #2 – Cloudspire – Cloudspire City
Go behind the butler and take a right, then enter the building at the end to find a pair of kids, Matchstick and Shen Jiang’an. Speak with the girl first and choose “Agree to join the gang” to receive the Great Yonder Antler Cap. You can then speak to Matchstick to receive the emote Celebrate and cause him to move to a new location.
Interaction #3 – Cloudspire – Cloudspire City
Go back down the ladders toward the shrine and you can break some items on the left to enter a cave. Go out the back of the cave to reach a market area with a bunch of enemies. Follow the path to the end where you can find Glut sitting in a tent just before a shortcut back to the shrine. Speak with him and choose the option “News about joining the Great Yonder Gang”. After this he will have two dialogue options.
- Choosing “Search for Shen Jiang’an” will cause him to return to the building where the other kids were and he will continue to be present.
- Choosing “Search for your Master” will cause him to end up in the Shaft Entrance area after the palace, and is killed by his “Master”. When this occurs you can pick up the item Glut’s Token from his body.
Interaction #4 – Cloudspire – Cloudspire City
Go back to the building where the kids were and speak with Jiang’an to receive the Wedding Attire.
Interaction #5 – Cloudspire – Cloudspire City
Now go back outside and speak with Butler Shen to show him the Wedding Attire, and he asks you to give it to the Madam.
Interaction #6 – Cloudspire – Cloudspire Outskirts
Fast travel back to Cloudspire Outskirts to complete the next interaction with Matchstick. From the shrine turn around 180°, go through the next building on the right, go outside and climb the ladder to the area with another corruption pillar. Take the left path where two enemies shoot a cannon at you. Behind the cannons on the left enter the house and he will be on the main level looking at items on the ground.
Interaction #7 – Cloudspire – Snowfall Palace
Go up the stairs into the palace and follow the path through until you reach the room with the archer and the elevator in the middle. Step on the elevator button to go to the top floor, then go into the room on the left to find the madam Huang Yan. Speak to her twice and choose “Hand over the wedding attire”, then you will have two dialogue choices. After both choices you recieve a Crystallized Red Mercury, but the outcome is different.
- If you choose “Tell of the butler’s betrayal” this will immediately result in her having the butler and the other kids killed, regardless of other choices you’ve made. If Glut was still present you can find him lying on the ground near where Butler Shen was standing and pick up Glut’s Token, then the butler and Jiang’an will be lying on the ground in the house, and you can pick up the butler’s armor set.
- If you choose “Feign ignorance” their questline will continue and they will be present in the Refugee Camp.
Interaction #8 – Mt. Zhenwu – Refugee Camp
In the refugee camp if you didn’t tell the madam about the butler you can find him, Jiang’an, and Glut near some tents on the left side of the camp before the shrine. You can speak with Jiang’an and agree to help the Butler.
Plain Warrioress
The Plain Warrioress is a mysterious character who appears throughout the game. Each time you interact with them you receive a Plumed Branch, and is one of the few ways you’re able to obtain this item throughout the game.
Interaction #1 – Worship’s Rise – Palace Hill
To the right of the shrine, go up the hill to find a person in white robes standing in the pagoda.
Interaction #2 – Cloudspire – Snowfall Palace
Follow the path up the stairs and through the palace until you reach a room with an archer, then step on the pressure plate on the floor to use the elevator. The Warrioress is on the top floor looking at a shrine near the elevator.
Interaction #3 – Mt. Zhenwu – Pavilion of Knowledge
After the room with the shrine go through the next temple area, then she will stand on the main path while walking along wooden platforms.
Interaction #4 – Mt. Zhenwu – Bai Mansion
The Plain Warrioress is in the cave leading to the boss room.
Interaction #5 – Worship’s Rise in Ruins – Burning Cave
At the back of the cave right before you enter the boss arena, the Warrioress is standing on the right side by the wall.
Bamboo Courtyard Woman
In the Bamboo Courtyard area in Worship’s Rise there is a woman behind a door you can interact with to receive some items.
Interaction #1 – Worship’s Rise – Shu Sanctum
From Shu Sanctum go down the steps back toward the village area, then either across the rooftops or the invisible path on the ground level to reach the other section of the village. Follow the river back toward Reverent Temple and then go left to reach the Bamboo Courtyard area. Here there are three houses, where the two houses are facing each other you can interact with the left door to speak to a woman who will give you the Courtyard Key item and asks you to find an item for her.
Key Item: Damaged Letter – Worship’s Rise – Shu Sanctum
Go back toward the village and up the hill to the higher level. The first building you come across has an open courtyard with enemies in it. On the left is a door you can open with the Courtyard Key. Go inside then left and upstairs to a room at the end where you can pick up the Damaged Letter.
Interaction #2 – Worship’s Rise – Shu Sanctum
Return to the house and speak with the woman to give her the Damaged Letter.
Key Item: Dough Figurine of Yang Zongbao – Worship’s Rise – Shu Sanctum
In the village area, defeat the fire bird enemy to receive this unique Dough Figurine consumable.
Interaction #3 – Worship’s Rise – Shu Sanctum
Go back to the woman in the Bamboo Courtyard once more and give her the Dough Figurine of Yang Zongbao to receive the consumable Burnt Meat.
