Lots of action and hot days on the beach await in Zenless Zone Zero’s patch 2.1 “The Impending Crash of Waves.” This patch brings not only the high energy of summer, but also two new characters, new places to explore, and more quests in Yunkui Summit.
Below, we explain when Zenless Zone Zero 2.1 maintenance starts and ends, as well as the release time of version 2.1. Additionally, we’ve added some information on what you should expect from this new update.
What time does Zenless Zone Zero go down for maintenance?
If you plan on finishing your dailies before the maintenance, you should do it soon. The maintenance for Zenless Zone Zero patch 2.1 starts on Tuesday, July 15, or Wednesday, July 16 — it depends on your time zone! The servers are slated to stay unavailable for approximately five hours.
Here’s the time when the Zenless Zone Zero patch 2.1 maintenance will start:
* 3 p.m. PDT on Tue. July 15 for the west coast of North America
* 6 p.m. EDT on Tue. July 15 for the east coast of North America
* 7 p.m. BRT on Tue. July 15 for Brazil
* 11 p.m. BST on Tue. July 15 for the U.K.
* 12 a.m. CEST on Wed. July 16 for western Europe/Paris
* 7 a.m. JST on Wed. July 16 for Japan/Tokyo
* 8 a.m. AEST on Wed. July 16 for Australia/Sydney
Make sure to deplete your battery before maintenance starts, if you wanted to, but keep in mind that the new battle pass will start after maintenance ends, so you may want to hold on to some of it.
Additionally, check if you have finished the “Where Clouds Embrace the Dawn” chain of commissions as well, since you need to have completed them to progress in the story.
What time does Zenless Zone Zero version 2.1 start?
You can expect to see Zenless Zone Zero back from maintenance and the 2.1 version up at the following time:

Although Hoyoverse says the maintenance will take around five hours, there’s always a chance servers get back earlier than that. You should count on it, but it’s pretty common. Regardless of how soon the servers will be running again, don’t forget you will need to download and install the patch before jumping back into the game.
What to expect from Zenless Zone Zero version 2.1?
Based on what Hoyoverse has shown in the trailer for this update, we can expect to see more of the Exaltists’ plans. The Overseer is still alive and with them; a dangerous foe has appeared. But this time the commissions will focus on the two new S-Rank characters that are coming to the game: the physical support Ukinami Yuzuha, and Alice Thymefield, a physical anomaly agent.
Zenless Zone Zero patch 2.1 is also introducing two new areas, Sailume Bay and Fantasy Resort. This is where all the summer vibes of this new update will come from and aquatic activities and attractions will be found.
