Case Files are essentially the side quests in Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army. There are 45 Case Files total, but only 44 of them can be completed on your first playthrough, and 1 of them has to be completed in New Game+. If you complete all 44 Case Files in the first playthrough, and then just the 1 New Game+ Case File, you’ll still unlock Lightning Blade, so you don’t need to redo all of the Case Files. It is however recommended you do it anyway in New Game+ since the rewards from redoing Case Files can be pretty good.
Case Files are not missable and they can be done during any episode of the game, except Episode 9 due to story reasons. So if you find yourself struggling with certain Case Files, or aren’t high enough level to do them yet, you can put them off until the Final Episode. Certain Case Files that are better suited to be done later, like No. 31 for example, are listed later in the guide where you’d most likely be able to actually complete them. So don’t worry if there is a missing Case File from an episode, you can clean these up later.
