Horses for Courses is the 1st DLC side quest in the Horse races expansion of Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Horses for Courses DLC side quest.
- Starting Location: Trosky Region > Nomads’ Camp
- Quest Giver: Bibrek
- Requirement: Having Patch 1.3 / 01.030.000 installed, having started Main Quest 5: Wedding Crashers and having obtained a horse.
- Reward: Zamur’s bridle, Karachin’s chanfron,
Flagellum Dei if scoring 150 points in the mounted archery competition - Quest Type: Side Quest
- Quest Description: Apparently, it was possible in the nomads’ camp to take part in horse races. I went there to find out more and maybe carn a few extra groschen.
Starting Location: Horses for Courses
Talk to Bibrek
Talk to Bibrek in the camp.
Talk to Mikolai
After talking to Bibrek, go to Mikolai nearby and talk to him.
Do the horse races for Mikolai and the shooting competition for Mikolai
You can choose to do either the shooting competition first or the horse race, it does not matter what you do first. For this guide, I chose the horse race first. So, talk to Mikolai and do the warm-up race. You only have to reach one checkpoint and then race back to Mikolai. You must win all races and shooting competitions, but you can replay them at any time.
After that, talk to Mikolai again and do the first of two races. This time, you have to pass three checkpoints. Checkpoints are marked on the compass, and you can see them from far away as a smoke signal.
Talk to Mikolai one more time to do the last race. This time, you have to pass four checkpoints.
Once you have completed that, talk to Bibrek and select “I’d like to shoot a bit.” You have to complete three shooting courses in total. After the first course, talk to him again to do the second course, and after that, repeat it one more time.
Talk to Bibrek
After the third shooting course, talk to Bibrek again and select “Resolve the dispute.”
Then, to get both rewards for this quest, during the conversation, select this:
- I enjoyed it.
- To Karachin’s archery.
- How do you intend to bribe me?
- What’s this trick, Bibrek?
- To both!
- A wise decision.
- I suspected there was something more behind it.
- First of a Thousand and Tooth.
- I want both rewards.
This finishes Horses for Courses quest in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2: Horse races DLC.
To get Flagellum Dei, you can now approach Bibrek again and do more shooting courses. For this, you have to accumulate 150 points. You can do multiple courses to get this trophy, you do not need to earn them in one course. The points you earned during the Horses for Courses quest will count toward this trophy. It does not matter if you win or fail those courses. The higher the course, the more points you get thus earning you the trophy faster.
