The rations in Assassin's Creed: Shadow are an important therapeutic resource in the game. To increase the ration capacity, you need to upgrade by finding and interacting with food suppliers NPCs. It is very rare for food vendors to do so. These vendors will have a sign of a bowl and chopsticks on their heads.
How to increase ration capacity of Assassin's Creed Shadow
In Assassin's Creed: Shadow, the function of ration is equivalent to the potion of life. You can use them to heal yourself in battle, but in areas with large enemies and larger scale, the standard ration quota may not feel enough. Fortunately, you can increase your ration capacity, but you need to be alert at all times.
Let’s explain how to get more rations in Assassin’s Creed: Shadow, including how to increase ration capacity, how to replenish rations, and how to improve ration efficiency.
By default, Naoe initially owns three rations, while Miyasuke initially owns five rations. But you can upgrade your ration capacity by finding and interacting with food provider NPCs.
In our experience, food vendors are very rare. These vendors will have a bowl and chopstick sign on the top of their heads (as shown in the picture below), indicating that they will teach you some knowledge about Japanese cuisine. Once they teach you, you will unlock a data point in the “Japanese Food” section of your library.
According to our tests, talking to the first food provider can increase the ration capacity, but further upgrades require finding more food providers. There are 16 food suppliers to look for. After finding all suppliers, Naoe will have 9 rations and 11 rations.
You can find the first food vendor a little further east of Sakai City:
Food vendors will mark the map, but will only be displayed when you zoom to the nearest zoom level. They also appear on your compass when you get closer, so be sure to keep an eye out for when you get closer to your settlement.
If you have difficulties finding these food stalls, you can first defeat the new shogunate member "Fox" and then accept the task of "Gourmet Light Inspiration" from NPC Ahon Kohama City. Ah Hong will ask you to find these different food stalls, and you can still get some experience when you find the stalls, which will make you much faster.
