Putting Down Roots is a side quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Putting Down Roots mission.

- Requirement: Complete quest Homecoming
- Recommended Level: Scales with your level
- Reward: 1000 EXP, Blue Anemone (Flora)
- Quest Description: Yasuke searches for a colorful and personal gift for Ibuki.
Return to Ibuki
Track the quest on the Objectives Board under Ibuki in the League group after doing his previous quest.
Location: Izumi Settsu > Lost Hills > Hideout
Speak to Ibuki to get a dialogue choice:
- [Your standards are high.]
- [You have lovely eyes.] – Romance
Gather flower seeds
Location: Iga > Nabari Wilds
Find the flowers just east of Kashiwara Village.
Collect the Blue Anemone Blossom and Seeds.
Head a east a little bit to find the second Blue Anemone Blossom and Seeds right next to the encampment.
The final batch of seeds are found in the middle of the encampment.
If you don’t want to fight the camp members, run in and grab the seeds and then run away.
Talk to Ibuki
Head back to the Hideout and find Ibuki just west in the bamboo forest.
Talk to him to get a dialogue option:
- [I’m glad we’re friends.]
- [I want more than friendship.] – Romance initiated
Apart from initiating the romance with “I want more than friendship,” the outcome of the quest remains the same with either option. Choose whichever you prefer.
