The Winter Raiders is a side quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. This walkthrough will guide you to all of the Winter Raiders member locations. There are 5 members of The Winter Raiders which you must defeat as part of the quest.

- Requirement: available after finishing the story (after Epilogue), possibly must have unfogged the area around the quest marker or go there during winter season
- Recommended Level: Scales with your level
- Reward: 5500 EXP, 2 Skills: Naoe skill “Feral Frenzy” & Yasuke skill “Ultimate Onslaught”
- Quest Description: Things are uneasy in Gobo Village as an imminent attack slowly creeps towards its borders.
Starting Location: The Winter Raiders
The quest starts by talking to Rin in Kii > Gobo Village. It will be marked by a “!” icon on the map.
The quest talks about the Winter Raiders, but you must be in the winter season to find the members of the Winter Raiders. See How to Change Seasons.
Speak to Rin
Track this quest from the Objectives Board. Scroll to the People of Kii and select the quest below Rin.
Follow Rin
You can use auto-follow here if you wish. She leads you north to a house.
Go inside and speak to the Gobo Elder.
Meet the Gobo Elder
After a bit, Rin presents you with a dialogue option:
- [You are not to blame.]
- [I know your pain.]
Choose whichever you wish. These choices do not affect the outcome.
At the end of the conversation, you choose whom you want to play.
The Winter Raiders Member 1: Yasha
Rewards: Boreal Wind (Epic Naginata), Critical Chance over Half Health (Engraving), Letter from Yasha to the Leader (Quest Item), 300 Mon, Yasha’s Calligraphy (Decoration)
Location: Kii > Kumano Sanzan > Hongu
Find the home of Yasha’s contact
Walk inside his house to find a note to read, called “Note from Yasha’s Contact.”
Assassinate the raider Yasha
Location: Kawakami in Yamato > Yoshino > Elder’s House
In the hostile area, go to the south side of the house and sneak in right behind Yasha.
The Winter Raiders Member 2: Hayate
Rewards: 2000 EXP, Kagutsuchi’s Deed (Epic Teppo), Armor Damage After Kill (Engraving), Letter from Hayate to the Leader, 305 Mon
Defend local pilgrims
Location: Kii > Kumano Sanzen > Shingu
Help the pilgrim, and he tells you where to find Hayate.
Assassinate the raider Hayate
Head north up the road to Kii > Iseji Trails.
Hayate has a couple enemies around him to defend him.
The Winter Raiders Member 3: Akumu
Rewards: 2000 EXP, A Thousand Cuts (Legendary Bow), Knock Down Shot (Engraving), Letter from Akumu to Sobei (Quest Item), 255 Mon
Location: Kii > Nakahechi Route
Akumu camps out directly east from the Kakurega at Nakahechi Route.
She sits in a concave rock formation, making it very challenging to sneak up on her.
The Winter Raiders Member 4: Sobei
Rewards: 2000 EXP, Sharpened Hail (Epic Katana), Damage with Headshot (Engraving), Letter from Sobei to The Leader (Quest Item), 360 Mon.
Location: Kii > Sazae Oni Shores > Gobo
Sobei hides out in a backyard south of the Dojoji Temple, flanked by three additional enemies.
The Winter Raiders Member 5: Jinbei
Rewards: 2000 EXP, Pupul’s Promise (Epic Kanabo), Adrenaline with Combo Ender (Engraving), 210 Mon
Location: Kii > Nakahechi Route > Sandanbeki Cave.
The only entrance to the Sandanbeki Cave is north of the map icon.
He sits in the deepest part of the cave. This means you need to deal with plenty of enemies to get to him.
Return to the Gobo Elder
Speak to the Elder in Gobo, who gives you a dialogue option:
- [I’ll take what we agreed on.] – Choose this and receive 5000 EXP and 200 Mon.
- [Keep your reward.] – Choose this and only receive the 5,000 EXP.
This finishes The Winter Raiders in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
