The Godai Shinobi is a side quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of The Godai Shinobi mission including The Godai Shinobi member locations. There are 5 members of The Godai Shinobi total which you must defeat as part of the quest.

- Quest Description: Formerly the elite of Koga-ryu, Shotei’s former students are causing havoc across the land.
Assassinate the Godai shinobi
Track this quest from the Objectives Board, available after finishing Requiem for Rokkaku. Scroll to the People of Omi and select the quest below Shotei. You automatically get moved to the Godai Shinobi group. You must locate and defeat all 5 of them.
#1 – The Godai of Fire
Step 1: Help the begger
Head northwest out of Sakamoto in Omi > Sakamoto.
Find a begger being attacked by two enemies. Take out the enemies, then speak to the begger.
Step 2: Assassinate the Godai of Fire
Head further northwest to Mt. Hiei.
He sits on the south side of the viewpoint tower. Take him out.
#2 – The Godai of Void
Find clues about the Godai of Void
Head to the north end of Odani in Omi > Goshiki Outlands.
There’s very little opposition here. Take them out if you wish.
Head into the dilapidated house to the southeast of the viewpoint tower.
Interact with the drawers and the equipment. This gets you the Odani Ruins Letter.
Head further northeast and make your way to the north end of the Kaikichiji Temple.
Use this cave entrance to find the Godai of Void.
When you approach, he throws a smoke bomb. Apart from that, he has a lot of health but only uses a heavy kick attack and regular sword attacks.
When he dies, he drops a letter you need to pick up, called the “Godai, Hear My Commands!”
#3 – The Godai of Wind
Go to the Shimagahara Valley in Iga > Ichinomiya. Specifically, find this break in the bamboo forest.
Climb up the wall and go after the Godai of Wind directly in front of you.
#4 – The Godai of Earth
Make your way to the south end of Otaniinari Shrine in Iga > Hijiyama.
Behind him in front of the house, you can find a letter called “Wind to Earth Letter.”
#5 – The Godai of Water
Go to the Mangetsuji Temple in Omi > Mount Hiei, just north of Sakamoto.
The Godai of Water sits on a rock looking out over the lake.
Sneak up and take her out.
Quest End: Talk to Shotei
Head back to Koga in Omi > The Shimmering Fields and speak to Shotei.
This finishes The Godai Shinobi in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Completing this quest also unlocks access to the assassin passive, “Assassination Damage III” from the Assassin Mastery tree.
