How to play multiplayer mode in Monster Hunter Wild

In Monster Hunter Wild, you can choose from a variety of online game options. You can create different types of halls according to your preferences, and use the Link Party and Link Environment features to sync your world instances with them and conduct surveys together.

How to create a hall

The hall is a room used to see other players, distributed in different base camps in the forbidden land, with different names according to its function. You can search for a specific lobby or join a random public lobby by talking to Alma and selecting one of the four options.

Different halls are classified as follows:

Recommended halls

This option allows you to join a random hall according to your previous preferences.

Hall Search

You can choose more specific options to add a lobby that suits your taste, or if you want to find a specific lobby ID.

Private Hall

This creates a private hall; players can only join by entering the hall ID (you will see in the communication menu) or being invited by you. It has a relatively small number of players that can join, but you will remain in the lobby after each mission is over without being separated.

Online Single Player

This is your single player mode, you can pause the game if you want, and you can also invite random players using SOS signals during the mission.

How to link a party

Suppose you are in a public hall and find a team that is very tacit. Do you want to keep playing with them without letting them create a private lobby? Well, here's a solution: You have to link to the party.

Select "Link Party" in the communication menu, which ensures that you and the three other hunters stay together after completing the mission. The difference from a private lobby is that you can also use the link environment function; the private lobby will keep you all in the same room, and the link environment will synchronize you into a single world so that you can risk and conduct investigations and hunt together.

Link Party also alerts you when any team member starts a mission, so you can join them immediately from the Invitation section of the communication menu.

How to Add Friends

In Monster Hunter: Wilderness, click any player in the lobby member list or add any Hunter ID to invite them to your friend list through the communication menu. This will help you stay in touch after completing the game session in case you want to meet again later!

How to create a squad

Do you want to take friendship to the next level? You can do it by creating a squad! The squad can accommodate up to 50 players, and you can be part of up to eight different squads; these squads will have their own private halls, specific message boards, and more amenities.

To join or create a squad, you have to go to Wind Plains Base Camp to talk to Felicitas.
