Long-range: I think the name "long-range" is a bit inaccurate, because at most they are medium-range cannons. Some of your continuous fire cannons are long range, including silver flamethrowers, gold flamethrowers and ultra-laser cannons. This is also the range of your upgraded state effect shell. Your bronze cannon is also a long-range one, but you will want to upgrade these shells as soon as possible. The range of these shells is consistent with the locking range, and beyond this range they cannot function.
Extra-long range: These are your long-range shells with extremely long range. Silver cannons, gold cannons and energy cannons all fall into this category. The range of the ultra-long range shell is far beyond your lock range. Aiming at them can be a bit difficult, but they give you the chance to attack enemies from a large distance, and enemies usually cannot fight back.
The energy cannon is of a very long range, so even if it doesn't indicate the range, don't worry, its effect will definitely not disappoint you.
One of the strongest shells in the game is the long-range cannon, such as the super laser cannon. Still, being able to hit the enemy from a long distance is undoubtedly a benefit, which is why I usually equip the ship with a super long range shell and a powerful long range shell. You should stay away from short-range shells as soon as possible and upgrade the shells to at least long-range cannons as soon as possible.
