Unlike other resources, these ancient coins do not respawn.
How to obtain Dynasty Warriors Origin Ancient Coins
There are three main ways to collect ancient coins in Dynasty Warriors: Origins.
Find on world map
There is a limited number of ancient coins on the world map. Unlike other resources such as Pyroxene and Moongrass, these Ancient Coins do not respawn; each Ancient Coin can only be collected once.
Ancient Coins are difficult to spot unless you're standing next to them, but they become easily visible when you use Bird's Eye to look around. Whenever you unlock a new province, you should first activate the "Eye of the Sacred Bird" and carefully scan your surroundings for hidden ancient coins.
Complete quests and role requests
Some side quests offered by your peers reward Ancient Coins. Whenever the story advances, look for new talkable characters on the world map. Even a simple task like advancing a character's relationship line can net you some ancient coins.
You can see which characters are available to talk to by hovering over each province on the map menu, or in the Interactions tab of Water Mirror Retreat. Some characters won't appear until you receive a letter from them.
After completing the main story, you will unlock the highest difficulty, which, whether challenging it for the first time or re-challenging it from the Inn, will add an optional challenge, usually requiring the completion of an objective quickly or the defeat of a powerful enemy within certain limits.
Ultimate Warrior Challenges have different rewards, many of which award 10 Ancient Coins. If you want to get the "God of War Belt" after collecting all 500 ancient coins, you have to go through challenges to get it.
