After the Battle of Hulao Pass in "Dynasty Warriors: Origins" reaches a certain level, a coalition charge will be triggered. Once the coalition charge is launched, many problems will be exposed, so you need to make some preparations before the coalition charge. At the beginning of the battle, help your allies capture the base closest to your starting position. Since your side already has full strength, you should be able to capture the base quickly. Once the base is secure, grab the Meat Bun there and head to help Yuan Shao's vanguard at the base of the cliff, right between the two central bases.
The bottom of the cliff is not a base, but you should still defeat the enemy generals there as quickly as possible; if you do not bring a partner and start the battle from the central camp, you should do this task first instead of capturing the base. Zhang Liao and his cavalry will appear two and a half minutes into the battle.
Once the four bases are captured, the coalition commander will prepare to charge. You can trigger a charge by approaching a prepared commander, but it is recommended to wait until all four charges are ready and Zhang Liao is defeated before doing so. Before charging, it is best to go to a base to replenish meat buns, because meat buns will be very scarce before breaking through Dong Zhuo's inner palace.
Defeating Zhang Liao as quickly as possible should be your top priority right now. Not only is he a potential threat to Yuan Shao (Yuan Shao's death will cause the battle to be lost), but the longer he delays your allies in the center, the less able the northern and southern forces will be to support their respective bases.
