Sun Jian's true ending in "Dynasty Warriors: Origins" is relatively difficult to complete in the game. Many players are not sure how to achieve Sun Jian's true ending. In fact, the difficulty of Sun Jian's true ending is the three key battles, but for The third fight, it seems like you just need to complete the first two fights and execute them the right way to stay on track.

How to achieve the true ending of Sun Jian in the origin of Dynasty Warriors

The ending of Sun Jian's Wu Guozhen is much more complicated than the ending of Shu, but much easier than the ending of Wei. Technically, there are three key battles, but with the third battle, it seems like you just need to complete the first two battles and execute them the right way to stay on track.

We finished this third battle the normal way and still got the true ending, which doesn't work in Cao Cao's route.

One of the key moments happened earlier, in the third battle of Chapter 3 - the Battle of Xiangyang. Here, you need to rescue Sun Jian. The actual goal of the mission requires you to leave him and move on, but if you ignore this instruction, you will directly succeed in the mission and change the course of history, which is quite neat.

Once the battle begins, head south (following the path that curves to the west), clear out all enemies in your path, and then open the base - you'll need to defeat Pang Ji to do this. Defeat Wang Shen and ordinary generals and occupy the base, then leave through the north gate. Immediately turn south and take the westernmost path. You can ignore Zhang Yun, but you will need to defeat the powerful general to open the next gate. Here, you may see the illusory Zhang Jiao, who you need to defeat.

If he's not here and there's a stop sign on the map, that means you arrived earlier than you needed to. This is a good thing, so just wait for the battle dialogue to play and for the fog to appear.

Zhang Jiao is easier than his boss fight, but still difficult, so attack him with all your strength. After defeating the illusory Zhang Jiao, a path with a stop sign should open - follow it to rescue Sun Jian. Ignore all other enemies on the way until you reach the cave with Lu Gong, where a storyline animation will play showing you saving Sun Jian's life - this will display the "Change of Fate" screen, confirming your success. It's possible that you didn't save Sun Jian because you took too long to fight Zhang Jiao, but the timing tolerance is much looser than other paths, so it's best to make sure you can do that before moving on to other quests. In this way, you are halfway to the true ending.

The next event appears in Chapter 4 - the suppression of Wu State. If you've played this route before, you can skip directly to this section, otherwise you'll need to get through every battle. The goal here is to rescue Sun Ce, but the most likely reason for failure is to let Sun Quan die.

There are two steps here. First, you need to go to the southwest corner of the map, where phantom soldiers including Zhang Jiao will appear. Defeating them is the first step, but they won't appear until Sun Ce captures the central western base (i.e. the westernmost base, except for the northwest corner) and then gets lost in the fog. Until then, you should focus on helping Sun Quan - if you fail to do this, he will be forced to flee in the second step, thus failing the mission.

To help Sun Quan, you should capture the base in front immediately at the beginning of the mission, and capture the one to the south, while clearing out the enemies in the middle before Sun Ce gets lost. Ideally, you want Sun Quan to pursue Sun Ce as he heads north (where he has allies and relatively little fighting).

Once you've done that, head slightly north to find a hidden cave near Zhang Jiao. You can see it in the picture above, located in the upper left corner of the lowermost of the two circular paths on the map. There is some moss hanging above the cave entrance, and there is a white luan inside the cave. This is the strongest battle he has shown. Once Bai Luan's health drops to two-thirds, he will drop ice crystals and summon phantoms. When his health drops to one-third, he will drop ice crystals and summon phantoms. After defeating him, you'll see the "Change of Fate" message again, but this time you need to complete the fight rather than it marking the end.

After that, you can choose to jump to the final branch point (if you have played before), or continue fighting (if you have not played before). However, as long as you save Sun Jian and Sun Ce, you've locked in the true ending and just need to complete the game.
