How to solve Secret of Secrets in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle - Puzzle guide
The goal of the Secret of Secrets puzzle in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is to figure out the correct combination to open a safe. However, this is one task that you cannot do right from the get-go. In our playthrough, we were only able to access the area upon advancing further into the main quest. Once we exited the Excavation Site and met a supporting character named Gina, that's when we were able to tackle this objective.
Secret of Secrets puzzle location
The Secret of Secrets puzzle takes place in the Sistine Chapel. Specifically, it's in a room in the lower section of the building. The image above shows you the exact spot.
Clue: Saint Peter and Saint Paul statuettes
Once you've made your way inside the room, it's time to look for clues. First, you'll see statuettes of Saint Peter and Saint Paul--the former is on a desk in the corner and the latter is right next to the safe. If you examine these statuettes, you'll see symbols underneath. Another document from a drawer also tells the reader to "look to the stars and the saints."
Clue: Planetary Chart
The next clue that you need is the Planetary Chart, which comes from a drawer in the room. The chart shows planets arranged by proximity to the sun, along with their respective symbols.
At a glance, we can see that:
Two of Saint Peter's symbols are that of Mars--i.e. circle with an arrow. This drawing is the only one that's missing on the chart. The corresponding number is 4.
One of Saint Paul's symbols is for Uranus--i.e. circle with dot and arrow. The corresponding number is 7.
Lastly, the other symbol under the Saint Paul statuette is for Mercury--i.e. caduceus. While there's no number that's written, it's safe to say that it's the number 1.
Secret of Secrets solution and reward
Given the above clues, it's time to input the correct code to unlock the safe: 4-4-7-1. This lets you grab a few items, including a book that's actually a fake.
