Money in "Star Coaster 2" is very important in the game. With money, you can buy more rides and build more profitable stores. If you want to make money quickly, you can first take a loan. With a loan You can improve the amusement park first, and then you can quickly rely on the amusement park to make money.
How to make money quickly in Planet Coaster 2
Although money may be tight in many situations, there are many ways to increase your cash reserves. Some methods require taking risks at the expense of your park's future financial security, while others rely on your willingness to take advantage of your patrons by charging fees. At the end of the day, when you need to raise money for the next big roller coaster, something has to happen.
Loans
First of all, let’s talk about the obvious solution. If you need funds urgently, you can apply for a loan in Planet Coaster 2. We only recommend this as a last resort, but if you're sure you'll make a lot of money in the future, taking out a loan is a great way to improve your park.
You can apply for a loan in all career mode levels, but when setting up a sandbox park, you need to choose to turn on the loan function.
Since the loan charges interest, the bank will take a cut of your sale as a fee if you don't repay it early. As a result, you will make less money in the following weeks. However, if you can use the money to build some great rides that increase the park's revenue, it's all worth it.
Price adjustment for amusement facilities
The second method is to increase the ticket price of amusement facilities or increase the admission fee of the park. For rides, you can set the following fare options:
Dynamic pricing: fares automatically adjust as demand changes. The more popular the ride, the higher the ticket price.
Premium pricing often increases ticket prices beyond what guests expect.
Custom Pricing Set your own fares.
Discounted fares Set lower fares to attract more guests. If you set a park admission fee, it will often set the price of rides to zero or make them more reasonably priced.
If you set your ticket prices to high-end pricing, or choose custom pricing, you can charge more and your rides will bring in more revenue. However, the higher the ticket price is set, the greater the likelihood of dissatisfied guests, who may feel the price is too high and be unwilling to pay. Therefore, you need to make sure that the price matches what your guests will accept.
Finally, you can also adjust the park admission fees. You can raise the admission fee as much as you want, but if you set it too high, guests may be unhappy, especially if they also have to pay for rides.
Revenue strategy changes
In the park management options interface in Planet Coaster 2, you can adjust basic income strategies. Intuitively, you might choose to make each ride a ride subject to a fee, balanced against the park's admission fee.
One good strategy, which is actually more in line with how parks are run in the real world, is to make all rides free, but make park admission full price. In Planet Coaster 2, admission prices gradually increase as you add more rides, meaning you'll earn more as you expand your park.
In our experience, the money comes in faster if you charge admission to the main park rather than charging each ride individually. You can at least give it a try and see how your park performs.
Priority Pass and Pool Pass
In addition to adjusting the fees for park admission and rides, you can ensure you earn extra revenue by charging for priority passes and pool passes.
You can enable priority passes for each attraction individually. You don’t need to enable this feature for all rides, so you can ensure you charge the highest possible fee while minimizing the convenience you provide.
You may already have a pool pass, as it's required to use any of the park's pool or waterway features, but priority passes allow guests to skip the lines for individual rides and enjoy fast-track access early.
Improve park rating
Park ratings are closely related to making money in Planet Coaster 2. Park ratings, which determine, in part, how much visitors are willing to pay to enter a park, are calculated by combining ratings across four categories, each with a maximum score of 5:
Rides Reputation Build the best rides possible.
Landscape Rating Try to decorate your park as much as possible.
Unique Rides Build as many types of unique rides as possible.
Park Reputation Keep the park clean and running smoothly.
Unique rides are often the weakest score during the game, especially in the careermode. However, it's not difficult to improve this one, you just need to build more unique rides. So, start building now!
You need to improve these ratings as much as possible to increase the park's overall rating so you can charge more for admission and rides.
Shops and Facilities
If your park is already full of rides and pools, you can further develop shops and other facilities. To keep up with visitor demand (which is often very high), you need to offer a lot of food and drink.
You can build a variety of different stores, from a hot dog stand to a shop selling hats. The more variety of stores the better, so don’t just have smoothie stands throughout the park.
You can then increase your price and charge more than the default fee to bring in more revenue and increase overall profits. Likewise, you need to be careful about customer satisfaction.
If you're a less particular park operator, you can even charge visitors to use the restrooms and make some extra money. Tourists probably won't be happy, though.
