"Monster Hunter: Wilderness" is the latest work under the Monster Hunter IP. Starting a field investigation is a task in the game. Some players find that they cannot start a field investigation task on the map and don't know what to do.
The reason why the field investigation task cannot be started
Conditions under which field investigation tasks cannot be started
Field missions cannot be started under the following circumstances.
・Have performed a field investigation mission on the target monster (whether completed or not)
・The hunter’s attack has caused a significant reduction in the physical strength of the target monster
・The player's hunter level has not yet reached the level required to perform field investigation missions on the target monster.
・Currently there are tasks being undertaken
When unable to start a field investigation mission on the target monster, please check the environment summary in the wilderness map for details.
Start field investigation mission
You can start a fieldwork assignment in any of the following ways.
・Continuously attack large monsters to cause certain damage
・Select the icon of a large monster on the wilderness map or global map,
and select "Field Mission" from the submenu.
