Dragon Age: Veil of the Guardians gives players complete freedom to change combat presets, with one exception. The highest difficulty, "Nightmare," can only be selected when starting the game and cannot be changed once selected. With the exception of "Nightmare", the initial choice to reselect difficulty in the game is not fixed and can be easily modified as the game progresses, or even changed mid-combat. This means that if you enter a battle on Adversarial difficulty and a boss monster appears, its attributes and damage will be reflected.
