The zombie mode in "Call of Duty: Black Ops 6" is a very special mode in the game, and this mode also has a special SAM challenge. This challenge is actually an optional challenge that appears randomly, usually in the first Starts after eight rounds. Once you receive the prompt, you'll know a challenge is available.
What is the Zombie Mode SAM Challenge
SAM challenges are optional challenges that appear randomly in Zombies mode, usually starting after the eighth round. Once you receive the prompt, you'll know a challenge is available, but you may be curious about how to activate it.
To activate it, you need to find and interact with the Challenge Machine, using Essence to activate it. Fortunately, the prompt also provides a machine-generated location.
If you're not familiar with the name of the area, just look up for the purple beam coming from the clouds and head in that direction.
You can also open the map and find it from there.
Upon arrival, you will spend Essence to activate a challenge, which will give you a random challenge to complete within a set time.
While some challenges are easier than others, such as killing bugs, using Dark Aether field traps, or killing zombies at marked locations, all offer valuable rewards.
If you don't have enough zombies to complete the challenge, don't worry, because activating the SAM challenge will spawn additional purple-eyed zombies to help you complete the challenge.
Upon successful completion of the SAM challenge, all additional purple-eyed zombies will be eliminated, leaving only the regular turn-based zombie activity and, of course, your hard-earned rewards.
You can then interact with treasure chests marked with blue gift icons to claim rewards, which may include essences, scraps, weapons, equipment, aether tools, and more.
Complete SAM challenges in higher rounds and you will get better rewards.
If you fail to complete the challenge, all additional zombies will be destroyed and you will need to wait a few rounds before trying the SAM challenge again.
