The melee weapon in "Call of Duty: Black Ops 6" is a very difficult weapon to use in the game. It can only be used at special times. If you want to use the melee weapon, you can press and hold the 'V' key on PC. Or press the right stick on the controller to equip the knife.

In Black Ops 6, you can equip knives by holding down the 'V' key on PC or pressing the right stick on a controller. This differs from past games such as Modern Warfare 3, where melee weapons often occupied the secondary weapons section. With the official release of BO6, there is now a third slot designed specifically for more compact weapons, giving you a total of three tools in your gear.
If you've performed finishing moves before, the melee interaction utilizes the same buttons and flow. The only difference is that the finishing move requires an enemy operator to be nearby, similar to the returning shield functionality. Therefore, you are free to equip melee weapons as long as no one is around. You also activate unlimited tactical dash while holding this tool, making movement more efficient.
Please note that the standard "switch weapon" interaction does not work with melee weapons. However, you can use this feature to replace knives with your primary and secondary weapons.
Baseball bats and knives are the only two tools in the melee weapon category. Knives are unlocked automatically, while baseball bats require reaching level 52. There may be more melee weapons coming in the future, so stay tuned for the upcoming season for more options.
