The Ice Beast Chimezan in "Metaphorical Fantasy: ReFantazio" is a very important special BOSS in the game. If you want to defeat the Ice Beast Chimezan, you first need to eliminate the soldiers and cause a lot of damage to the Ice Beast Chimezan in advance. It doesn't make much sense, because if the soldier is not defeated in time, he will use his remaining HP to heal the ice beast.
How to fight the metaphorical fantasy ice beast Qimeizan
In ReFantazio, boars deal critical damage to ice beasts. Our first priority is to eliminate the soldiers. It doesn't make much sense to deal a lot of damage to the Ice Beast Chimenzan beforehand, because if the soldier is not defeated in time, he will use his remaining HP to heal the Ice Beast.
While it's entirely possible to knock the soldier down before he can heal to avoid this, when the soldier gives the creature magic rebound by continuously casting "Mage Mirror", it's harder to effectively target the soldier before it's defeated. Ice beasts deal damage, so it's not worth the risk.
To eliminate that soldier, use strike-based crafting skills like Horse of Victory and Wreck of Destruction. Have the protagonist use "Adventurer's Curiosity" to increase everyone's critical hit rate.
Soldiers will fall quickly. Afterwards, use the Talisman of Absolution to remove the maximum attack and defense buffs that Ice Beast Chimenzan likes to apply via the Breath of Battle skill, and keep the entire party healed against the threat of its multi-target attacks.
You can also use Makarakarn, which we recommend inheriting from one of your characters to remove the annoying magic rebound buff the soldiers have on the Ice Beast Chimenzan.
Once the magic rebound is removed, you will be able to easily break through the ice beast Qimenzan's powerful defense and use your most powerful fire attack. These attacks may include:
Summon Gargoyle
Seeker's Flame
Hell Vortex
Flame Pioneer
If you're lucky, you can even use stronger fire spells. (This really depends on how far along you are in this boss fight in Metaphor; we assume you fight it shortly after unlocking it.)
If you use "Charge" on Basilio (or another Berserker, we guess), then use "Adventurer's Curiosity" to gain critical damage, and then cast "Wreak Destruction", you will see A single attack causes over 3000 damage. At that point, all that's left is to complete the mission.
