Though you’ll likely be spending more time actually playing the new Diablo 4 Vessel of Hatred, you can earn some nifty freebies courtesy of Twitch Drops. When you’re not slaying Lacuni and putting an end to Mephisto’s nefarious shenanigans, all you need to do is mosey on over to your favourite Diablo 4 streamer’s channel and watch them slay demons.

The event is scheduled to run for four weeks following the expansion’s launch, giving you plenty of time to score loot for most of the classes. In this guide, we’ll walk you through the full Vessel of Hatred Twitch Drops schedule and rewards.

How to earn Twitch Drops

To earn drops, make sure you’re logged into your Twitch account and have it linked to your Battle.net account, then watch any eligible streamers with Diablo 4 Drops Enabled for a combined total of either three or six hours. Progress is made on any channel in the Diablo 4 category so you don’t need to watch the same channel continuously to unlock drops.

Once you’ve watched three hours, claim your first reward via the Drops menu on Twitch itself. Repeat the process once you push past six hours of watch time. Note that once you’ve watched 3 hours, you’ll need to claim your reward before you can start progressing to the six hour reward. So make sure to claim your drops at the three hour mark otherwise any further hours you watch won’t contribute to the six-hour drop.

You don’t actually need to own or be actively playing Diablo 4 nor have started the Vessel of Hatred expansion to earn Twitch Drops. You can bank these in the Drops menu on Twitch for safekeeping until you snap up the game and start playing at a later date. Just don’t claim it if you don’t have a linked Battle.net account, otherwise it will expire and disappear into the digital ether never to be seen again.
