Blue Creek Apartments is the 3rd area in Silent Hill 2 Remake. This 100% walkthrough will guide you to all collectibles in chronological order. Everything that’s needed for trophies, achievements and 100% completion is included: Memos, Strange Photos, Glimpses from the Past, Key Items, Puzzle Solutions, Trophies & Achievements.
All Collectibles must be found in a single playthrough. Everything is missable! After leaving an area you can’t go back. There’s no Chapter Select and no Free-Roam after the story. Collectibles don’t carry over into New Game Plus either. The game has 10 manual save slots, make use of this by saving in different slots regularly. If you missed anything you can reload a previous save to replay from there. The trophy “Archivist” for all Memos can only be obtained in a New Game (NOT achievable in New Game+). This is because the Memo “Lost & Found Note” from Lakeview Hotel doesn’t spawn in New Game+ but is mandatory for the trophy.
The Memos and Strange Photos you found can be viewed in the Inventory Menu by pressing the Touchpad. Glimpses from the Past can’t be tracked anywhere. This guide is intended for the “Light” or “Standard” Puzzle Difficulty, the solutions for both difficulties will be mentioned. Combat difficulty does not matter, all Trophies can be done on “Light” difficulty.
Chapter 3: Blue Creek Apartments
Map: Blue Creek Apartments 1F / 2F / 3F Map
Leave the room and this map will be on the wall in the corridor.
Key Item: Apartment 306 Key
Progress through the area until you arrive at Apartment 307 with the hanging radio. Go through the balcony to reach the back rooms of Apartment 305 to find this key on a small table.
Key Item: Valve
On the wall in Apartment 304, which can be accessed via Apartment 306.
Key Item: The Hour Hand
Return to Apartment 307 and use the Valve to drop the radio and collect the hour hand.
Key Item: The Minute Hand
Inside Apartment 210, behind the H Door. In order to unlock this apartment, you must place the Hour Hand on the clock in the save room (Apartment 212) and set the time to 9 o’clock. Now enter Apartment 210 and destroy the wall in the kitchen to access the bathroom. Search the toilet three times to get the minute hand.
Key Item: Pigeon Figurine
Leave the bathroom and the apartment is now corrupted. The Pigeon Figurine is on a cabinet shelf.
Key Item: Wooden Swan Head
Leave the apartment and enter Apartment 211. You will see a shadow being cast onto the wall in the back room, head in here to find the swan head hanging in a corner.
Key Item: Malformed Figurine Part
Inside Apartment 209. Enter the bathroom in the back and break the glass on the bathtub to grab this item.
Key Item: Swan Figurine
Combine the Wooden Swan Head and Malformed Figurine Part.
Key Item: Winged Key
Place the Swan and Pigeon Figurines on the seesaw in Apartment 210, the Swan must be in the second notch to balance them.
Glimpse of the Past #7
As soon as you jump down the hole into Apartment 110, there will be a broken TV stand in front of you as you leave the room.
Personal: Angela’s Knife
Automatically received after the cutscene in Apartment 109.
Key Item: Key of Resilience
On the table directly in front of you after the cutscene.
Strange Photo #5: “Forever together”
In the stairwell on floor 1F, on the ground next to a barrel.
Key Item: The Second Hand
Return to the save room and place the minute hand on the two to make the time 9:10, which will unlock Apartment 202 with the M on the door. Head inside for a puzzle with moths. The code to the lock is 582 (Light Puzzle Difficulty) / 373 (Standard Puzzle Difficulty). Go through and search the hole in the wall three times to get the key.
Strange Photo #6: “How the time flies”
Return to the save room again to find it corrupted. Enter the bedroom to find this photo on the floor.
Glimpse of the Past #8
Place the second hand on the clock on number “3” to make the time 9h:10min:15sec, which will unlock the door with the S on floor 1F. Warning: this will lock the door left of the save point so make sure you got everything before doing this.
Enter the stairwell again and there will be a corpse you can examine for this glimpse.
Warning: Point of No Return
To advance the story you must interact with the door with the “S” on floor 1F. This will lock you out of the Blue Creek Apartments. Make sure you’ve found everything before going through.
Trophy: Passed
After the sequence when you enter the room with the “S” on floor 1F.
