Over its lifetime, FIFA, now EA Sports FC has developed a reputation for its incredible soundtracks, and it’s one of the things people look forward to the most in each new instalment. This year’s game is no exception, with FC 25 featuring a whole host of incredible tunes by artists big and small from around the world.

But not every song is going to be to everyone’s tastes, and inevitably you’re probably going to want to skip a couple of songs when they come on. This guide will tell you how to skip songs in FC 25, as well as how to turn certain songs off completely so they won’t play at all.

Skipping songs in FC 25

For as long as I can remember, to skip a song in FC 25 all you had to do was press R3 on both PlayStation and Xbox. This year, like me, you may have noticed that R3 typically does nothing, or in some instances will open a random menu up, leaving you listening to the same rubbish song. Well, thankfully the skip song button hasn’t been removed, it’s just been changed.

To skip a song in FC 25, you now need to press L3 and R3 at the same time. This means pushing down on both analogue sticks simultaneously. Do this, and you’ll skip whatever song you’re on, and can do it as many times as you want until you find a tune you actually want to listen to.

How to disable songs in FC 25

If there’s a song you really don’t like, you can actually turn it off permanently, preventing it from every playing in the rotation. To do this, all you need to do is follow these steps:

1. From the main menu, select the cog icon in the top-left corner to open Settings
2. Select the EA SPORTS Music tab in the bottom-right corner to open the soundtrack
3. Find the song you want to turn off and press X (PlayStation) or A (Xbox) to turn it off
4. You can turn a song back on by pressing X or A again

You can turn all the songs on or off at the same time by pressing Square (PlayStation) or X (Xbox), and you can see which songs have been turned off as they won’t have the green tick icon to the left of the album cover. If you can’t quite remember which song you want to turn off, you can press Triangle (PlayStation) or Y (Xbox) to play the song immediately.
